It doesn't say that at all, how come you think you can get away with such a blatant lie and quote something that doesn't exist, you're sick.
Well, dip me! You're absolutely right! It's on a different page. This was simple carelessness on my part, somehow I forgot that I'd clicked a link. I don't feel that that was a blatent LIE, since I didn't intend it. Since you just post off the top of your head and don't check accuracy, I'm sure you'll understand how this mis-posting could happen accidentally.
The info is on a page which the given one links to. The link is at the bottom.
A DOBLE E19 was driven 186,000 miles over a 20 year period by Chas T. Briar requiring only three sets of tires, two batteries and a patch on the nicrome firebox, obtaining 10 to 14 miles per gallon on fuel oil."

Why have you invented some astral world in your mind involving me and you? I don't type in honesty so you can try using it as if it gives you a reason to invent some lies as to your thinking you could get away with pinning false information onto my link.

You keep accusing me of lying. The only thing you have come up with is the mis-attributed quote, which you pointed out, and I have now corrected. You keep saying "lies", the plural. What are the lies?
If you'll recall, I did speculate that the steam car concept could probably be improved, but that it wasn't a good replacement for an oil-driven engine even if it didn't use oil:

Admittedly we could do better today, and perhaps build vehicles based on fluidised bed coal heat, but replacing oil as a transport fuel is basically impossible (today) - which is why there's renewed interest in coal-to-liquid technology which leverages known coal reserves into a fuel compatable with a massive existing infrastructure.

Steam cars appear to have roughly the same efficiency as ICE cars: 23 miles per gallon (see http://www.stanleysteamers.com/modern_steam.htm and http://www.catskillarchive.com/rrextra/automo.Html, although the latter is somewhat dated, it has a lot of info). Considering the many disadvantages of steam (long wait at start-up, etc.) there is no reason to expect steam engines to replace ICEs any time soon.
