This can't possibly be a hurricane because hurricane season doesn't begin until June first. Everyone know that the Atlantic Ocean isn't warm enough to form a hurricane until June first .... sheesh.
It must be something else... _________________ Got Dharma?

If it was indeed taking shape of Florida I would start listening to those weather conspiracy theories. |

Is a hurricane taking shape in the north atlantic?
Answer: no
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriolis_Effect
Hurricanes start off as clumps of tropical thunderstorms that eventually begin to rotate due to the coriolis effect. That image you posted is way too far north in water that is way too cold.
| Quote: | | Nearly all of these systems form between 10 and 30 degrees of the equator and 87% form within 20 degrees of it. Because the Coriolis effect initiates and maintains tropical cyclone rotation, such cyclones almost never form or move within about 10 degrees of the equator [9], where the Coriolis effect is weakest. |

With global warming advancing each year it would not be surprising to se hurricanes both earlier and later that usual (remember tropical storm delta?) . |
And the 2 tropical storms after that... |
