I won't bother refuting your ridiculous conclusions.
I'll start my philosophy career if you promise to open a used religion store. It's what everyone needs--an old piece of porn (old testament) to navigate the modern age.

I understand you are not an attorney (or used car salesman, yes I know "same thing") and thus trained in the art of persuasion but here's a hint: trying to convince somebody of an interpretation of something in a book they value as much as you probably value the Quran may not be the most productive use of your time.

"vaginal wrench"
Quote:
Women were the victims in more than three-quarters of the 2,600 spousal homicides recorded in Canada between 1974 and 2000. Women under the age of 25 were at greater risk (21.2 women per million couples compared to 6.6 for male victims in the same category), especially separated women who, between 1991 and 2000, were killed at the highest rate (113.4 women per million separated couples compared to 9.5 women per million separated couples 55 years and older, the group with the lowest rate).

Also, get multiple wives (unofficial of course) and get lots more kids. Work them and skim money off them to buy more land and ammo. You'll also have a militia to fend the large suburban masses stomping into your land looking for food and shelter.
Proliferate and prepare now. That way, you'll be on top later!!!

When women want children, they get them.
There's this phenomenon known as the "vaginal wrench"?
It gets what it wants, period.
.
This is so absolutely freaking true.
Best,
Matt
Why is it that it is SINGLE men bashing women like this. I am married, very happily and my wife does not resemble the above statement WHATSOEVER.
So, sorry, but absolutly not FREAKING true! Perhaps you are looking in all the wrong places for the women you are dating?
I'm not bashing anybody. Just pointing an observation that, for better or for worse, women generally find a way to have children when they decide they want to have children. Either from the guy they are with at the time or from somebody else. Those biological drives are mighty powerful.
Best,
Matt
I did not want kids before knowing about peak oil, and still don't. If you wanted kids before knowing about peak oil you still should have them.
My wife said she didn't want kids but I suspect this is not true now, so crikey, I have no choice about bringing offspring into this world it seems, unless I wish to lose my wife, if indeed I am correct that she now wants kids.
I don't understand why many women MUST have their own child rather than adopt an unwanted/unfortunate one. I don't believe that I should have no say in what happens to my genetic material, its my life and my only one.
Bringing children into the world because other people think you should would be immoral.

What is love? What is reality? What the Fark is consciousness even?
Atoms are not concious, why the Fark are we concious?
Legos are not concious, so no matter how intricate you arrange the Legos
they will not 'feel', so why do we have quilia?
Either our understanding of the physical world is VERY WRONG,
OR our understanding and definition
of 'perception' and 'conciouness' is DEAD WRONG.
What is the distinction between subjective and objective if
I am always at best subjectively objective? What is the difference
between 'perception' and 'reality' if at best we can only know
'reality' through 'perception'. Is there even such a thing
as subjective/objective & 'perception'/'reality' at all?
What if everything was ONE.
Nothingness and Existence, zero, one and infinity.
??????
Chuck, you and your wife are retarded to believe in 'God'.
OMFG give me a break, people who believe in God need more help than advice about having kids. We don't need more christians in this world period.

Matt - I used to sell used cars ! Before I got into the weapons building business (yes I am a part of the Military Industrial Complex). Hey - maybe that's why we get along OK ??? What do you think ?
Threadbare and I were having a debate on another thread in which he never replied to a question I asked him after he was trying to give me a bible study, so I asked him again. In either case the Bible allready schooled me on this :
1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
I could share with you some biblical examples of leadership in the home if you like ?? It's probably not what you think.

Wow 12amps - Are you a Prophet or what ???? Here is a biblical lesson in the theory of realitivity -
2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
In other words the things which are seen are made up of things which are unseen. Which is a perfect description/example of Quantum physics. And the theory of realitivity states things which travel at the speed of light are eternal, which is a description of the molecular world, which has no locality - In other words all things in the molecular world are part of one - All matter is interlinked - How ??? :
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
God is also eternal and is also light (which Einstein said is eternal).
Wanna go through some more science-quantum theory ????

Chuck, my advice to you is to know yourself. And tell your wife to get to know herself too. When you know who you really are then things become more understanding..
But something I've never quite understood:
The physical universe follows a certain set of mathmatical laws. These mathmatical laws apply the same everywhere in the universe, and can be thought of as a abstract TRUTH. In is within this set of mathematical TRUTHS that our physical universe resides. Many curious things of math do not readily translate to applicable instances in nature or in the physical world, yet everything that does occur in the physical world could be said to follow this set of mathmatical laws and to be contained within this 'pure' TRUTH.
The mental and philosophical aspects of our mind resides within this physical universe. There are much inanimate and inorganic matter in this universe. It is only very rarely found in this physical universe that there is life, and even more rare for intelligent life.
Our quilia, conciousness, perception, our mind and brain and nervious system and organic life and again a subset of the physical universe in which we reside in and also in which we are a portion of. Our atoms are arranged in a unique way in which is called life.
Thus it can be said that the mental world resides in the physical world and the physical world is but a platform on which the software can be run.
Mathmatical truths, spiritual truths, truths of any kind reside within our mental casing. However we are to understand the world, and however we are to understand the ultimate 'TRUTH' whatever it is, it still will have to reside within our mental world.
So the question is, have we not gone full circle? Where is the beginning and where is the end? What is the source? What and why?
It is only through the physical world that we humans can have a mental aspect of conciousness, awareness, perception, etc. yet it is only through the mental world that we can know the 'physical world' exists at all!!! So which is in which, the physical in the mental or the mental in the physical? Or is this an recursive loop or infinite regression to which there is no beginning and no end?
What then is reality? Does it really matter to make a distinction between subjective/objective and physical/mental? If such a distinction exists why would it practically matter? (since one realm can never understand the other) If such a distinction is only an illusion, why do we still entertain such an illusion and why did we invent the distinctions?
Science has 'how' but it doesn't explain 'what' and the deeper question of 'why'. We know how something works, but we know nothing of just exactly WHAT it is, and WHY it is. Even seemingly simple questions like why the sky is blue (which can easily be explained) cannot TRULY be explained when one gets deeper into the fundamental truths and ask questions on that level.
Chuck, post some pictures of your wife, I want to see if she is hot or not. PLEASE!!!???!!??????

Mmmm. . . I 'm single right now so I don't know how relevant they'd be to my situation. Any lessons from the Bible on how to get laid with hot young women? The best I've come up with is the story of the apple/God/the snake. Basically that women always go for the sweet talking bad boy (the snake) not the guy who just gives them everything right off the bat (God). Also that women (maybe people in general?) will go for what they are told they can't have. In that case it's the apple.
Looking at Jesus he did have women offering to wash his feet with their hair. That tells me he was either getting laid like crazy behind the scenes or if he wasn't it was because he was gay and too busy hanging out with those 12 guys out on their boats.
He went around healing people and turning water into wine and that seemed to make him popular enough that ladies were falling at his feet. Maybe this means learning accupuncture/chiropractic and how to home brew beer would be the hook up for yours truly.
Best,
Matt

Once again here is your answer -
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

12 Amps,
You managed to go from spouting pseudo-mystical gobbely-gook to asking the guy to post pictures of his wife on the internet, all in a single post.
This tells me you have some problem with your brain's "mirror neurons." These are the neurons that play back how our actions will appear to others so we can decide whether they would make any sense.
