Again, you demonstrate your ignorance of the facts. Bush put in place steel taxes to get the industrial belt vote. He did the middle-of-the-road stem-cell walk to maximize votes. He hung out with the Governator to get the pro-abortion, anti-religious right vote. He lied about the cost of prescription drug programs to get the old vote.
Bush is an ideology who seems to be focused on (a) fiscal irresponsibility, e.g. running the country into debt; (b) inept wars--Osama got away and Iraq is a mess, what with all the munitions we let get away because we didn't have enough troops.
What are Bush's family values? He spent most of his family years hard drinking, getting money the old fashion way (schmoozing), he found a away to avoid vietnam, and most of his "accomplishments" in Texas have not proven long-standing.
I think that if you don't like what the Republicans are selling, you're in a rapidly shrinking minority. I'd say this applies to 95% of the posters on this website.
You mean xenophobic hatred, religious fundamentalism, environmental disregard, and increased economic oppression? The U.S. is in a pretty sad state of affairs is these are the dominant values of our society.
There was an interesting reportage on BBC news this morning about Karl Rove and how he may have pushed 11 states to put a referendum on gay union on the presidential ballot. Mixing the two issues may have push conservative states to vote for bush biaising the election real question. Nobody is talking about these referendum results anyway!

I can only speak for Utah but this state already votes 70% republican without any gay measures. The people I have talked to voted it down more because of monetary issues such as Social Security and health insurance than because of moral issues. I didn't vote on it at all because I don't think it's any of the governments business and because the monetary issues, specifically Social Security is a ponzi scheme anyway. I'm not particularly homophobic but the sight of two guys doing the public display of affection thing is to me just kinda gross. _________________ You observed it from the start

I have seen reports from inside the campaign that Kerry staffers had to take his celll phone away in order to get a decision made.
