I read that melting of Greenland tripled in ten years from 1995 to 2005 to 52 cubic KM and doubled in the last 5 years. 3 x 17 =51 and 2 x 26 = 52 so:
1995 = 17 cubic KM
2000 = 26 cubic KM 50% increase
2005 = 52 cubic KM doubling
I speculate further:
2010 = 208 cubic KM quadrupling
2015 = 1664 cubic KM eightfold
2020 = 26624 cubic KM 16 x
2025 = 851968 cubic KM 32 x
so if this growing logarithmically or exponentially, like doubling every 5 years or something like that or possibly it is directly related to CO2 concentrations or something. At any rate a tipping point seems to be now being reached. When all the Siberian methane and possibly the undersea methane bubbles up the runaway global warming will most certainly melt Greenland and Antarctic ice quickly and hurricane with strength 6 or 7 will occur 6-12 months per year with a temporary shutdown in gulf stream making northern Europeans freeze while tropics cook simultaneously. _________________ "The horror, the horror"
