If "it's bunker time" why the fark do you care about the price of gold? You evolved some enzyme that lets you digest the stuff?

Or maybe just civil servant slackers on the web. Ones who've seen enough of how the government "works" to know how screwed we are.

Finland comes second as non-english speaking country. I lurk here too much, raising stats. Smile

We have been wondering this before but how there are so many unknown/unresolved? What is causing some visitors to become "unknown"?

EDIT, I did some quick googling and found this:
Quote:
Countries are determined based on the top level domain of the requesting site. This is questionable however, as there is no longer strong enforcement of domains as there was in the past. A .COM domain may reside in the US, or somewhere else. An .IL domain may actually be in Israel, however it may also be located in the US or elsewhere. A large percentage may also be shown as Unresolved/Unknown because a fairly large percentage of dialup and other customer access points do not resolve IP addresses to a name, and so are left as an IP address. If you are not doing name resolution in your reports, all hits will be recorded as Unresolved/Unknown here.

holy crap you go through bandwidth, I knew this site had quite a few visitors, but dear god!!!

BTW you need a better server a better pipeline through which to deliver all the bandwidth... I could recommend a few but they would probably scream and run when they see your stats

If I didn't know better I would think this was a porn site 34 - 50 some gb WOW for a forum

Yeah it's a roller coaster.

Humble beginnings & all...

Gas is expensive... people google it.

Cry Havoc, & let slip the dogs of war.

Well, well, well... what have we here?

Very interesting... but stupid.

So we are approaching the year's end for 2007, and with that milestone comes an updated version of PO.com stats.

Who was this years "Peakiest City"?

With special Kudos to last year's Peakiest City winner, Beijing China, I would like to preemptively congratulate this year's clear winner... drum roll please... London England.

How many visitors come here?

About 1/2 million so far.

Are we mainstream yet?

I dunno... this mainstream enough for ya?

And many other exciting categories.

So without further delay...

Dear Mr. Aaron:

How about an update on this.

I saw over 800 viewers at 8AM today. I think about 40% growth in the last year.

And now Beijing is dead last! WTF. Fewer visitors than Gig Harbor Washington, which has a whopping 6465 pop.

Must be for the Olympics, right? Or because of the power outages. Or it's so smoggy they can't see their monitors.
