Don’t worry, just a little bump - $70 is just around the corner. Short traders just keep making those margin calls, mortgage the house if you have to. Fortunes await you! PO is for pansies and doomers. At $70 short some more ..... it is going back to $22 .... the world is awash with oil ........ reality has nothing to do with it, its all in those charts!!!!!!!!!!

I'd come across this story http://www.energybulletin.net/17261.html a few weeks ago and wondered just how long it would take before the knock on effects would filter through to the real world.

Not too long it seems http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4787955.stm

the double header of a reduced grain harvest and increased contribution from energy costs looks to deliver some increases in the costs of basic foodstuffs and along with it no doubt some further inflationary pressure.

Nice connection. The price increase was certainly predictable.

Now imagine how things will get when both fuel and grain get really scarce.
