If "it's bunker time" why the fark do you care about the price of gold? You evolved some enzyme that lets you digest the stuff?

Ok this isnt exactly new since the article I first saw came out last year so maybe you guys have already seen it. These guys claim to have a viable fusion devise using a colliding plasma reactor which they claim needs no magnetic fields to maintain stability. This one of those things that seems too good to be true by a long shot but I just thought I would throw it out there. here is the site for those who have a good degree of knowledge when it comes to physics.

Not even close. According to the NASA report:
Quote:
...one must conclude that the EST concept (as currently proposed by EPS and MIT) is fundamentally flawed...

Looks like a couple EEs with a promising idea and a web site that did not pan out. Now they are just a couple EEs with flawed idea, a web site, and a marketing plan. Razz

Well I had figured there had to be a catch to it. I mean somebody somewhere would have snatched up the technology be it legally or illegally and ran away with what would no doubt be the greatest technological breakthrough of the century if not the millenium. I mean 8 million bucks to prove it works? That money would have arrived in a nano second from some rich investors looking to turn millions into hundreds of billions if not trillions. Either that or Exxon Mobil or Halliburton would have had a hitman take these guys out.

A most excellent point, Jethro. If they are still alive, it don't work.

Is this the same thing going on in France. Lots of euros burn to sky but still no technical breakthrought. That kind of powerplant may be best to start with remote-control long a way from it:-)
