How then, do we move backwards? How does a society, with most of the people having no clue of future events, move from being dependent on a vast and intertwined network of goods and services produced by the indigenous people of whereever, to a local resource and renewable energy based society, and do so in the timeframe available (20-30 years using the most liberal extimates, 10-20 with resonable estimates, 5-10 with worst case scenarios), all the while prices on everything increasing, world politics getting more militaristic, governments continuously reducing civil liberties, shortages of goods on the market and weather patterns resembling bad Hollywood movies?
I'm in the queue for your file. It looks like it's going to be a while before I get in. Once I get it down I'll leave it up for two weeks straight to try and get it out. After that, I'll do what I can.
I *think* I see you, you the one with the default userID? - which is "http://www.emule-project.net". Hope I gave away the friend slot to the right person.
You should be getting about 3 KB/sec from me - not sure how to give you more than one slot (I have about 4 slots of 3 KB/sec each). At this rate it will take about 2.5 days. I'll be leaving it on 24/7 except for maybe a couple of hours at night (SGT) when I turn it off temporarily to play Counter-strike ... _________________ Live quotes - crude oil, gold and currencies

lowem, I see your 654MB version and I hope it catches on, but I'd rather settle for the 400MB avi considering I've been downloading it on and off for 30 hours now and have only received 32MB. At this rate it will take more than two weeks to download it. It would go faster if I were on someone's buddy list (any offers?) but that could quite a burden-- proportional to my slow 1 to 5 kB/s download speed and inversely proportional to the low number of servers with the file.

I'm resharing the 400 MB source file, I'm afraid you'll have to queue like everybody else though. My un-modded Emule client only has got 1 friend slot, and I'm currently using that to send the 654 MB VCD file to Ayoob_Reloaded.
If nobody else steps up to the plate, you can have Ayoob's slot, err, a couple of days later or so.

Cool, I see ya. When you go offline, I pass over the friend slot to Ayoob, who should have got a big chunk of it by now. There's someone else, kitaro, helping out, wonder who that is.
I'm almost all the way home. Maybe 30 megs to go. Don't worry about it. I just told about a thousand people to check eMule for this video, so hopefully we'll get a couple people out there to d/l it.

Do you get a lot of requests for it on eMule?
I see between 1-3 requests at any one time, at the moment. So far I've uploaded 945 MB. _________________ Live quotes - crude oil, gold and currencies

Got the 400 MB version, and I've set it to release along with "End of Suburbia." If anyone here helped me in downloading the Bartlett lecture, I thank you.
Since downloading the 400mb version, I've given away a copy every day to someone. I'm going to see how long I can make the streak go. I'm shooting for at least one copy a day for a year. They're only a dime apiece, you know? I wonder if it might change somebody's mind.
Has anyone else completed downloading the 654 MB NTSC VCD?
There're a few more people on my queue, and I'd like to send it out faster than my limited upstream alone can. Also, I will need to turn off my PC for a few days next week (from about 9 Feb), so hopefully 1 or 2 complete sources can help to continue sharing it till I come back online. _________________ Live quotes - crude oil, gold and currencies
