Thought it might be interesting to know how many of us have been active on other boards prior to and/or current with PO board activity.

I was into Yahoo boards back in the days when there were some intelligent discussions there. I was not disappointed when they disbanded their boards, as they had devolved into meaningless rants.

Anyway, my curiousity is piqued. So thanks for voting here.

I started a thread on this also (no poll) and didn't even answer my own question so I will here.

I am somewhat addicted. I post on a gaming forum, a nutrition forum and occasionally (100 posts or so on each) on a half dozen others.

The Simple Living Discussion Forum may be of some interest to people here. You have to register to look at threads but it's got a lot of activity.

I'm scaled down and these days I mostly focus on a few boards. Probably in the near future I'll get down to two and eventually probably none (though I'll probably at least lurk, maybe send out a PM or two until the end).

Narz,
Thanks for sharing that link! Looks like I'm signing up for another board -- good looking stuff there.

I was on a few in the past (motorcycles mostly), but this is the only one remaining for me and the the only one that hasn't yet booted me for discussing the probable gloomy ramifications of resource depletion.

There's a couple peak oil related threats in the bike forum.
bikeforum.net.

There's an active topic under the catagory "living car free" and it states what to do when to oil runs out? That thread has reached many pages long.

I posted occasionally on Yahoo when I was bored at work. It was a mostly repulsive experience.

I don't think there's any comparability between PO.com and the former Yahoo boards. They're two completely different animals.
