The buzz is wearing off. Razz

Get really for the hangover................

Sights like this at a Shell station in San Mateo -- $4 or more per gallon -- could become more familiar throughout California in 2008 as gasoline will cost about 65 cents more per gallon than it did in 2007, analysts predict.

Gasoline futures are currently at 254.47 c/gal, according to Bloomberg.

We had a gas tax increase just in time right now. Now it's hard to calculate how much gasoline futures affect the price when tax is increased at the same time.

So near record wholesale prices (RBOB) and yet unleaded is nearly 50 cents below previous retail highs... Refiners must be getting killed by those kind of margins. Makes you wonder if someone is urging them to "take one for the team"

Retail prices have been creeping up here, now at $2.92 for the cheap stuff. I've been surprised it hasn't gone up more to reflect the increases in wholesale prices.

Gas prices are on the rise here in Holland, I've seen gas at 1.5 euro per liter this morning, so around $8.34 per gallon. This stuff is getting expensive.

Gulp...

And we have the nerve to complain about four bucks a gallon.

Still holding around $8.40/gal. here at my local. Diesel is a tad pricier.

Those are some impressive numbers...

Made the jump to 3.16 here today. I believe, if my brains still work, that 3.30 is the highest its ever been around here.
