The Idaho National Laboratory seeks the following:
1) Individual capable of building and managing an advanced fossil energy program, with a focus on fossil electric, synthethic fuels and/or refining plant design and analyses. Select indivdual must ber able to build a niche fossil energy/alternative energy program that leverages investments in simulation-driven analyses (gasifier design and simulation, advanced diagnostics, subsurface fate and transport, gas separations and cleanup, etc) and other "clean energy" program platforms (specifically, biofuels). Ideal candidates will have an advanced degree in engineering, chemistry, or physics, have established research credentials; have demonstrable accomplishments in the private fossil energy sector and have demonstrated strong program development skills and have significant professional contacts in the Western U.S. energy buisiness.
2) Individual who can augment an established team/program focused on biofuels feedstock systems, build additional program base in feedtock systems, thermochemical systems and fossil/bio hybrid systems.
Ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in engineering, physics, or chemistry; have establishd academic or commercial research credentials; have demonstrated accomplishments related to biofuels processes and/or systems; have demonstrated insights into cellulosic ethanol, biodiesel, algal oil and/or biomass gasification technology and markets.
