POSITION WANTED: FARM CARETAKER

I am seeking a position as a caretaker for a farm. If your intention is to invest in a farm to use as a haven when TSHTF, but need to maintain your income and lifestyle as long as possible, it may be in your interest to get the farm functional, stocked, and prepared with my services. I can assist or manage every aspect of project operations from selection of location forward. The farm will not be less than 10 acres.

The arrangement will include your initial and continued investment, including salary/compensation, my abilities and continued efforts, possibly my initial and continued investment. Accountability and progress can be identified, measured and reported. Contingency plans will be in place for several scenarios, including your relocation to the farm, transfer of ownership, force majeure, failure to perform by either party.

-Male, single, 40, 6', 180#, no kids, healthy, smoker, social drinker, drug free, mentally stable
-Woodworking, cabinets, case pieces, furniture
-Carpentry, general handyman, plumbing
-Organic Agriculture, from seed to seed, irrigation, soil, cultivars, pest/weed/disease control and prevention
-Organic Livestock, chickens, rabbits, pigs, other fowl
-Peak oil aware
-Highly creative
-Highly intelligent, 98th+ percentile
-Works well unsupervised
-Cooking, canning, drying, pickling, food handling, storage, preparation
-Renewable energy knowledgable, solar thermal and PV, wood and biomass
-Discreet
-Highly motivated
-Able to lead, motivate, train

Network
-I may able to involve other qualified trustworthy people as needed, depending on the range of skills required

Employment History
-20 years in all aspects of food service operations from dishwasher to management
-4 years as foreman for refractory/industrial services company
-4 years as property manager for 38 unit apartment complex
-several years self employed, carpentry/woodwork, candy company, cleaning services company

Education
-High School Graduate, 1985
-some college, Physics

The middle east is right out, as are high population density countries, China, India, Japan. I would stand out in Africa, much of South America, Pacifica, and southeast Asia.

Primary interest areas include the northern US, Gulf of Mexico states in the US, Canada.

Have 160 acres, south coast of Oregon greenhouse, very young orchard,
chickens pigs and goats. Off grid "no pwer" spring water, two tiny cabins with woodstoves. This is very hard living steep and remote, yet is 10 miles to the beach 25 to nearest town. Unfortunately I am going to go broke setting it up and need to go back to portland to work to pay for it. We are either going to sell all the animals and use it as vacation "project" property or have someone stay there with limited support while we build it up to the point where it can sustain itself. Google Pistol River Oregon and let me know what you think. If you get on google earth you can follw north bank pistol river road to 100 spur we are off that.
