A government minister in Britain has warned that inbreeding among Moslems, principally involving arranged marriages between 1st cousins, is producing serious problems for the NHS. Childhood deafness and a variety of developmental disorders are much more common in the Moslem community then in the rest of Britain

Marriages between first cousins are common in Iraq, Pakistan and some other Moslem countries, but aren't marriages between 1st cousins against the law in England?

Since its not currently against the law for 1st cousins to marry in Britain, the British should outlaw such marriages as soon as possible.

Genetic science clearly shows that inbreeding produces genetic disorders, and ethnic or religious groups that encourage inbreeding for cultural or other reasons are playing genetic roulette and losing.

If the British would just outlaw marriage between 1st cousins it would solve this problem,and without any need to single out the Moslems or the Scots or any other group and make them the "poster child" for inbreeding. Cool
