Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

I keep watching all the pundits and TV mavens goad and
demand Obama to go nasty and tear up Hillary. They use
words like throw a punch, go in for the kill, finish her off,
you know all the stuff that was leveled at Bush Sr. for
not doing in Saddam in the first Gulf War (his son rose to
the bait and showed us how good it works though). But
to me this is pure Hillary at work. One of her strong suits
in the primary is the disenfranchised low educated white
people in "the big states". Imagine how whipped up they
would be as she twittered and teared up from the big
black man being mean to her. Why she would have to
run it thousands of times on TV to heal herself again.

Newsweek: Obama Won

Hillary's only hope is that the superdelegates override the will of the people.

They may not have to if she wins the overall popular vote, which is not at all out of the question. In fact, I think it's likely. The whole point of the superdelegates is that they can override the pledged delegate vote if they see a reason to. Hillary may be able to sell a win in the overall popular vote as such a reason, especially after what happened in 2000 vis a vis the popular vote. It's the will of the people after all!

So far as I have been able to learn, Florida's Republican pols
wished to move the primary date up to anoint Rudy and
Michigan's pols were moving up to anoint Hillary. I would
love to see the MSM explain to people who actually moved
the dates up full well knowing the risk of disenfranchising
their own citizens and for whom they did it. Will it happen?

I would guess not, this is the golden calf for the MSM.
I am going to enjoy watching the PAC and Corporate
money hedge on McCain while the rest of us watch the
spectacle.

It's happened many times now. I have heard on several MSM channels that the legislatures moved up the primaries (as in they voted publically to do it). It's no secret to anyone following this. You have to remember that these states had essentially no say in previous years because of how late their primaries were...the media had already declared the winners. They were trying to make their states & voters relevant by giving them a say in the momentum in the race. And Florida is pretty much what cinched McCain's momentum so it worked there, just as the governor Crist and Republican legislature wanted.

I have heard the same many times emailking. But it is always just
the "state legislature" did it and not who specifically pushed it
within the state and which party, plus if possible, specific candidate,
they tweaked it for as well. When you anoint the candidates a
year in advance and you game the election system to coincide
with your anointing, it kind of makes you prone to embarrassing
things some times doesn't it? I have every faith the Democratic
party will rise to this occasion with a layer of baffling and conflicting
rules that buries the existing stinking heap of them under a fresh
uniform layer of glitzy conundrum. It's all about making
the process so fair that it doesn't get in the way of the party
insiders. I just wish Lorne Michaels wasn't Canadian so he could
run for Clinton's VP and produce her show all the time.

I imagine myself to be a fly on the wall in Allentown, PA next
month when the boys who used to work the steel mill
before it closed, sit down for their poker game.

Willie:
"I was sittin dere wid da clicka and Geraldine and Hillary
was on an I had one of dem epipinny moments. I realized
dat if all of us blue collar white people would respond to
the frantic fanning of da bitter boomer feminists, we could
raise da stink that could run off the hope mongering
colored guy."

Big Al:
"Ain't it da troot Willie. I used to call em "Bitter Old Broads",
but now I know dey got my best interest at heart and
I prefers to tink of dem as sister BOB da liberator. "

Willie:
"You know I ain't no fag Big Al. But I tear up a lot lately,
because for da foist time in my life I realize dat stiffs like
you and me, ya know, We Can Have It All."

Big Al:
"What you said Willie. It ain't braggin if yoose can do it.
Allright all yoose people raise your cans an lets toast da
movement."

Well, CNN briefly awarded Osama the democratic primary, then changed the headline to "widened his lead". CNN hasn't covered McCain since February.

CNN has been pounding the "Christianity caused 9-1-1" rhetoric for 7 years, & it looks like the thousands of YouTube videos, MySpace blogs, Google hits R finally sinking in regardless of reality. Marin county is definitely pro Bin Laden.

I have been reading about Lee Atwater, the man who disfigured,
slimed and destroyed candidates for a living and who ended up
as head of the Republican party. Shortly before dying at 40 he
found religion and sent apology letters to the people he had
worked to destroy. Geraldine Ferraro was decimated by him and
had to go private for some days to regain her composure in 1984.
This apparently gave her license to channel Atwater for the
Clintons who have mastered Atwater and added the apology
on withdrawal of the dagger to improve on the deathbed
apology of their Professor Atwater himself.

When current President Bush ran in the 2000 primary John
McCain had a poll circulated against him that asked if people
would still vote for him if they knew he had a black child out
of wedlock. He in reality had adopted a child from Mother
Theresa's orphanage. This is the stuff that has driven the
campaigns of both parties and delivered us some stunningly
bad politicians in the White House by default because they
were the least damaged when the bell rang.

The Clintons are brilliant and have raised the state of this
dark art. So who do you want, surgically corrected Miss
America, or the one eyed, crushed nose, toothless, godless,
and worthless whore laying dead on the floor to her left?
