Oh, also, read "Square Foot Gardening" and take the idea of adding vermiculite, compost and peat moss to your raised beds. makes them wonderfully fluffy and light and keeps moisture well. My container garden (all I can do now) is very easy to relocate and my plants are thriving!
Buy seeds from Bountiful Gardens, Johnny's, Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds, Pinetree Garden Seeds, Seed Savers Exchange and Seeds of Change. Plant some out and carefully save the rest. You might also buy some to use as trade items, and consider buying empty packets in case you want to divide packages if you buy large amounts of seed.
