Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

Now I hear Hilleary is hanging in to the bitter end to lower Obama's

president, setting Hill up for 2012. Obama will not win against McCain.
Could be, politicians are rarely deeply concerned with the well being of their
constituents, their "primary" goal being to get into office any way they can.

Of course, as we know, it no longer matters who's president. The problems are unfixable and will worsen.

This is kind of my feeling.

I think Obama's a good guy, I wouldn't mind seeing him win. It's a double edged sword, though, you know people are going to forget about Bush the minute he leaves the White House and blame whoever becomes President for Peak Oil, etc.

Maybe we should let Billary win. Laughing

I'm going to make a bumper sticker for my Bike (Since I won't be able to afford gas anymore) that says "Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul"

Thank you Ludi for that link. I was going to post the same thing and say do your own damn research, but that would be oh so rude. =)

On a serious note, you do know that when asked if he could only solve one problem, Barak Obama responded that he would solve our energy crisis.

That right there would have been enough, but the intelligent and obviously well thought out plans that this man has implimented in his years in elected government have convinced me this would be one of the better presidents we could have period.

Here's really my kicker for him though. So many people say he's all inspiring and not experienced enough. I'll handle that in reverse order. For an inexperienced politician, well, look at his election campaign. He went from being a real real long shot to the front runner precisely because he was able to run a large organization well. Honestly, in some ways the way they run their campaigns is the best reflection of how a president will be president. Both Mcain and Hilary at one point where almost flat broke. Barak hasn't even been close, mostly from smart spending.

The other point though is inspiration. To that I say, what is the major things an American president does? Largely he will be judged by two things; the people he puts in positions of power ( as they will do 99 percent of what he has to take credit for) and his ability to inspire the American people to do things. I mean, that's what it's about people. Your supposed to lead as a president. And people are yelling because they bought into the idea that it's a Bad idea to have someone who's inspiring? What moron came up with this idea, that being able to do your job really well is a Bad thing? I mean seriously, what else do you think an American president does?

My favorite is the Commander in chief idea. When was the last time American was directly led into a war by a president. Answer? George Washington. Other than him, no American president has actually directed a war. They relied on the armed forces to do that because that is what the armed forces are there for. So why do we need military experience in there? Last I checked, it might be good for mental disipline, but I'm pretty sure Obama has plenty of that.

I guess I never drank the anti Obama Koolaid. I never bought into the anti arguements because none of them made any sense. They all sounded like a person who was so scared of losing that when seeing a person who has a good shot at winning, they ran to the opposite camp because said person sounded too good to be true.

I think in the end, this is why most people who are disinclined to go with Obama would admit as a reason. He sounds too good to be true. Good thing is, he really is that good.

Obama should heed Dave Chapelle's advice for the first black president - have a Mexican VP. "Go ahead, try and assassinate me now!"

Rock and Chapelle are brilliant.

Some McCain fun facts: Born Again Redneck: The dirt on Huckabee and McCain. Like how he began to cheat on his wife after returning home from 'Nam, seeing how she was severely disabled after a car wreck.

In order for a dem to win, there has to be enough republicans willing to cross over in the general election. Typically it's been the other way around. Conservative democrats are largely closet republicans when it comes to the general election. So a democratic victory is in no way assured.

Her core of 50 and older women are not voting for her. They are
voting for themselves. Every slight, each bump up against the glass
ceiling, each feel copped by the good old boys, each smart enough
and experienced enough but no cigar, is all being projected on the
back of surrogate Hillary and they are each running for the top
job of the land. This is a candidacy that has no power without
opposition and creates it if it does not exist to begin with.
Hillary is a mirror on wheels and these people are running along
side for as long as they can to see themselves reflected back.
Hillary just needs to be careful not to crash too bad and break the
mirror.

I wonder what a Clinton is if you don't oblige them with being
victimized or oppressed? I don't think we are going to find out.
I am beginning to think if you ignored them they would vanish.

Chris Rock is my favorite comedian. Even when he was a guinea pig in Dr. Doolittle.

You're sharp, Hubris. Good insights.

Obama is under attack for being elitist and calling working
class people bitter by Hillary.

"You know, he wants to divide us over race. I'm from the South. I understand this. This quota deal they're gonna pull in the next election is the same old scam they've been pulling on us for decade after decade after decade. When their economic policies fail, when the country's coming apart rather than coming together, what do they do? They find the most economically insecure white men and scare the living daylights out of them. They know if they can keep us looking at each other across a racial divide, if I can look at Bobby Rush and think, Bobby wants my job, my promotion, then neither of us can look at George Bush and say, 'What happened to everybody's job? What happened to everybody's income? What ... have ... you ... done ... to ... our ... country?'"

A Clinton calling another person elitist?

That's ironic.
