When you mention it, I just recalled that my old car has a drain plug in the bottom of the fuel tank. It's an ordinary hex-bolt. No real need for drills I guess. But then again, I've never had gas stolen, much less E85.

I hear ya. I would probably want to do something like that too if I catched someone in the act. Would probably just call the cops and sit on the guy until they showed up though. I know, soft hearted and all that Wink

Some ruckus in the media the other day about gas prices here. Broke 13 SEK per liter. That's about $8.40 a gallon. Nothing special, really.

This is really going to hurt. We'll see five-dollar premium gas within a few weeks now.

With Nigeria shut in on 68% of its production, US refining utilization looking like a grade C students test score, and UK refining down, we will probable see a lot of “OUT OF GAS" signs at a station near you!

It seems like some will go to great lengths to deny reality.

We already had gasoline shortages last year in many US and Canada locations, if you didn't notice. Where were you?

Check out this thread for details:

North American Fuel Shortage Reports

The question is - when will shortages return? As early as the end of May in some US locations. If US refiners don't get their gasoline output up soon, there's going to be an even more significant problem later in the year.

No shortages here.

I still have 50 gal of gas stored from the big gas shortage scare of last summer.

Vision-

Minneapolis will be first to run out. Your 50 gallons will be confiscated by the St. Paul police to be used to fight terrorism...Sad

I think its better to play this BS about gas prices and not tell people of shortages. You saw what happen with rice. I was at the grocery store last night and the shelves were pretty much bare of rice...NOT NORMAL.

Why, we get our gas from Canada?

Here in New Jersey there actually is a law which says you can not store more than 5 gallons of gasoline.

That won't get you very far.

You are going to share with me. We will ride away together on your scooter!!!! Smile

I've got a full tank in both cars. Both can make it nearly 400miles.

To be honest, I have a 05 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe paid for. I've been thinking of selling the scooter and buying a new Yaris. I mean I only get 40 to 45 mpg with the bike.

Large displacement scooters are not for mileage... I'm not quite sure exactly what they're really for... heh... but if you're serious about getting mileage from a scooter get one with the engine at 150cc or less.

The 500cc and up scooters generally get worse mileage than a Harley Sportster.
