Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

I love the idea of the hubbert's curve with a big frown, or the scream guy. Why not have his hands up around the screaming head in the middle of hubbert's peak?

Stick the screamer in this pic:

Pops, I like that a lot! Put it on CafePress or something and I'll buy one. I think it would be better with "peak oil" in block letters on the body of the dinosaur, though.

When you do logos for money there is usually a first thought that pops into your mind, if you will pardon the expression.

And always you think "where did that idea come from"?

Anyone seen that idea used before?

Don't feel bad about making a "tige" or two here and there folks; I'm used to such!

I'll work it a little more than the original 5 minutes on the weekend if there isn't a conflict.

Don't know what a "tige" is, but it sounds like fun.

how's this for a 20 minute hack job?

I can't draw worth a darn, and don't have a drawing program on my mac, so I used google to find an image of an oil will, added a parabolic curve, and faded the second half out after the peak, because no one knows exactly how its going to fall.

since most people should know that after things go up, they eventually go down, except all the idiots who bought into the dot com craze and real estate market, I figure some kind of text message about conservation, might get people to think about the peak oil problem...
