Hoarding is exactly what the government is doing right now by filling the SPR, and frankly it's the best thing that could happen. It drives prices up. High prices encourage demand destruction. They also finance new well development. The hoarded oil gives us a buffer to fall back on once shortages become more prevalent. High prices are what we need in order to adapt to what's coming, and the sooner they happen, the better.

I wish I could get some for my poor sister whose medication isn't working. Not surprising since depression meds are barely better than placebo. Sad

I think gampy could use some meds.

I have hated teachers long before I figured out how hate those other parasites. The teacher is the first parasite designed to weaken the host so advertisers, bankers, and economists can have easy to control puppet consumers. My public education was a 13 year battle to keep my sentience from being squashed. I have brains and intelligence in spite of teachers not because of them.

I am with gampy on this one. I will cheer every time one of them loses a job. I will cheer a second time when they grow hungry and fall into want. I will cheer a third time when they are forced to dig ditches and shovel manure. I will glow with hope every time a student makes it past the brainwashing with their soul intact to see this society for what it is.

I had one high school teacher that molded my life and many others. He wore different colored socks and would show up in the class room with two different kinds of shoes on. We would be studying and so was he, with a ski magazine hidden behind some other book. Cool He was the high school ski coach and had a PHD from Harvard.

I am surprised that one old man can bring forth such emotion. Damn, I must be getting close to the cross or the hemlock. I never expected to reach such a level.

Ludi, many of the anti-depressants on the market today are fluorine based. There is a huge body of study to show that they are very destructive; these studies started at their origin, the Nazi death camps of W.W.II. They were then later used by Stalin in his gulags to control prisoner behavior.

THC on the other hand, although illegal for various political and economic reasons, has been used for 3000 years. During that entire time there has not been one documented case of a fatality resulting from it use. It is now us medicinally for depression, anxiety, radiation and chemotherapy side affects and MS.

In your sisters best interest, I would advise that you consult a Life Extension physician. There are many options available, other than the “rat poison” handed out by the pharmaceutical industry. Good Luck.

I have great respect for teachers and their mission. I believe wholeheartedly that any shortcomings of the results of education are to be laid at the feet of those decision makers that set policy and agenda. Let's give a break to those who do their best, and put blame where it belongs, at the top.

The brainwashing referred to came from Sigmund Freud's cousin, or something, a propaganda specialist who fathered the advertising industry. Can't remember the name.

I believe that at the bottom of it all, we ALL do the best we can with what we are. For some of us, it may not be a lot, but the struggle to be our best remains the same.

Like you I have had several teachers that have changed the course of my life. That is why I now find time to teach eighth grade math part time. Having a kid run you down in hall and say “thanks for helping me Mr. Hill”, has got to be the greatest feeling in world!

(I've got a collection of the wildest ties on the planet. I think the kids bet on which one I will wear.)

Do you think you could back up your hate-filled propaganda with some facts?

I'm going to out on a limb here and say that a few of you didn't have happy childhood school experiences.

I taught post-secondary.

My students didn't know the difference between a credit and a debit. They didn't understand or know how to calculate compound interest.

Look around, many adults can't balance a checkbook much less understand the difference between money and debt.

Teaching fractional reserve banking might be overkill in public school but the inability to distinguish between money and debt?

/sarcasm follows

However, most kids know why Timmy has two fathers. Yes, that's the stuff future adults need to know to be responsible.

Analysis: Some good economic news is a mirage masking weakness in national economy

Borrowing radio broadcaster Paul Harvey's signature saying: let's hear the rest of the story.
Some seemingly good economic numbers can be something of a mirage masking weaknesses in the national economy.

The goal of teaching to kids is to make them obey.
You must obey .
You must learn to obey.
If you cannot learn to obey well they call it a disease adhd and give you drugs.
Unlike the amateurs of social control the government of the soviet union that sent people to siberia for social control the pros simply give drugs to the little children when they disobey authority.

Bravo .Good job.

oh yes in the long term the drugs do not work but who cares ?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/7090011.stm
we have jails for them then and well they are damaged goods.
the message is clear anybody that disobeys authority becomes damaged goods.
