I think if we hit $20/gallon people would start to seriously consider cutting back/driving less |
How do you afford these kind of prices? |

That is interesting, I guess they just said screw it and decided to skip the 3.99 a gallon psychological barrier.
It took diesel forever to go past that here. Now I think it is 4.15 at gallon. |

Gas at the station on the hill near my house..$3.79 for regular and 4.09 for ultra or premium kind, not sure which. Another station 4 miles from my house had diesel at $4.73. It was just at $4.49 like yesterday literally. Crazy times we live in!!! Funny, but it seems like people's attitudes towards it is, "Fark it, it is my God given right to drive this SUV and nothing we stop that, short of yanking my credit card from my cold dead hands." |

3.2275 on NYMEX (new record, I guess).
I bet my woman 5 dollars that price of retail gas in our area wouldn't hit 4 dollars for another week. I thought I was safe this morning passing stations around 3.70 and then bang! up to 3.95. Hopefully, that is a psychological barrier so I don't have to pay the old hag. |

Gas around Milwaukee has gone above $4... I still think locally that traffic is as heavy as it ever has been.
In other news...
I was behind a jet black Chevelle tonite with big slicks in the rear (jacked up) and spare tires up front. While sitting at the light breathing in his noxious fumes, some dude on the street yells out for him to "light 'em up"...so when it turns green (in heavy traffic) he "gooses" it a couple times. Each time that dual exhaust monster breaks sideways! I can't believe he didn't hit the car next to him (oh...and the pavement was wet!). Probably burned a half a gallon each time he punched it. Some days i hate driving a little automatic 4 cylinder. _________________ "Oil is going up because we use too much oil, and the capacity to replace reserves is dwindling"
