I have noticed my corner gas pump is usually $0.90 higher than RBOB (transportation, profit and taxes). I have also noticed a several week lag time before the RBOB price reflects at the local pump.
We are currently holding at $3.999 per gallon for Regular Unleaded. I expect $4.10 soon. _________________ "Peak oil isn't more than an interesting industry factoid and doesn't have anything to do with the hysterics speculated on ad nauseum around here!" ReserveGrowthRulz |

I think you're right. Some quick math:
Oil at $75/bbl, gasoline at $3.30 gallon
Oil at $129/bbl, gasoline at ?/gallon
I'm getting $5.67/gal or thereabouts. That's gonna leave a mark!
I guess we should be thanking the generous refiners for not demanding a constant profit margin, shouldn't we?

Hit $4.04 here. Took a lot less time to reach $4 than it did to reach $3. But real estate is making money. _________________ People first, then things, then dollars.

Went to town again today, mostly to visit friends. Gas was $4.33 for regular and $5.30 for diesel. Every time I go to town it's higher... _________________ "I believe that a wise Vermonter lives more by lack of expense rather than from income."--some Dartmouth professor from across the river |

Station down the street just jumped from $3.75 to $3.95 today in NH. Diesel at $4.83!
I'm sure the other stations are soon to follow, as this station was about average in price. |

Wow...diesel at almost $5...it's a wonder that the trucking companies aren't threatening to shut down for a few days to protest the soaring fuel costs.
Sure wish they would, though...might drive the point home a bit sooner for the Joe 6P. _________________ Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide...

$4.03 for regular in parts of Pierce County Washington. Heard on the news some stations are selling diesel for $5.00.
