Ummm... yeah, it is.
We have yet another server upgrade in the works to accommodate the increased traffic recently.
As painful as the slowness is, it's a sure sign of the growing awareness that something is rotten in Denmark. (Apologies to Denmark for the euphemism.)
In the past month:
441 new members registered.
433 News Submissions.
272,897 Visits
1,556,160 Pages Served
272,897 Visits
95,229 Absolute Unique Visitors
1,556,160 Pageviews
5.70 Average Pageviews
00:08:30 Time on Site
39.27% Bounce Rate
31.29% New Visits
We are crushing our old statistics with the recent avalanche of new and returning visitors.

Over the past day, the PO server has been agonizingly slow, with pages taking up to 45-60 seconds to load.
Is it just me?

All you need to do is to *be* in a different time zone, my friends.
Peakoil.com loads and works fine in the daytime for me, but at night, almost from the moment the NYSE and TSX open for business at 9.30am your side, blam! Site slows to a crawl.
That's my cue to start gawking at the markets instead of the forums
