That's not a drought! You should see the draught we're having in South Eastern Australia now....
Rain is so rare, gave the the middle name 'Rain' to my daughter when she was born 3 months ago.
When it rains now, it's an EVENT! |

First of all I don't think I have had the opportunity to say, "welcome."
Noticing your interest in the issue of drought and water I just though I would mention that we started discussing the lake lanier issue last summer and that thread is here and that this spring we broadened the issue to include all issues of potable water and that thread is over here.
We would love to have your input as we continue to discuss these issues.

So when do we get the apology on behalf of Malthus and the others whose common sense told them there was such a thing as 'Limits to Growth?'
I'm waiting.
Good for you California. Next someone will propose changing the law so that you only need 5 years of water guaranteed. Then the 50 year drought will come in and push the price of water up to the price of the nergy it takes to get it out of the ground. Scaricty has a way of limiting our options. |
