I use the 10.0"x16.0" and also the 20" x 30" bags. The smaller are roughly a #10 can while the larger are 5 gallon bucket size.

Any experience out there with the vacuum sealing machines on that site ?

Yes, events will happen that intefere with food planting, harvesting, processing, delivery, etc. In 1816, "The Year Without Summer", a large volcanic eruption jettisoned enough aerosols to reduced sunlight in many areas of the world. In the US Northeast, crops failed, there were heavy snowfalls in June, etc.

Other events can have the ability to reduce crop yields, such as a limited nuclear war (i.e. Pakistan/India, Iran/Israel, etc), global warming, asteroids strikes, and so forth.

Some events may hit at other (or multiple) points in the food chain, such as a serious pandemic.

So storing a year's worth of food can mitigate the risk of any number of these events.

For the information behind storing food, we have three threads in the topic index. Please use those to cover storage techniques.

Currently have 8,300 pounds and 1,000 more coming. My dry food has been a better investment than gold, almost better than ammo. I'm eating rice, beans and flour over 10 years old and it's just fine, thanks.
