Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

You aren't talking about the same people who are currently running the Iraq war, right? _________________ Skeptical scrutiny in both Science and Religion is the means by which deep thoughts are winnowed from deep nonsense-Carl Sagan

You said Yes based on what?
Mexico has a nationalized oil production system. An outstanding disaster, poorly run, income sucked off for government funding, little goes into development, drilling or research. Proudfossil, don't let your anger at the present situation let to bad decisions, that's Congress's way of fixing things.

Now, now. Think of the upside. Prices would skyrocket. Supplies would plummet. There would be rationing, a thriving black market, graft, insane amounts of contributions from concerned industries, etc. It might be just what is needed to turn this economy around! _________________ Civilization is a personal choice.
