This just in from Bloomberg News:
"Threats against Iran would also support prices during the summer, [C. Khelil, OPEC President and Algerian Energy Minister] said. A political crisis that would stop Iran's oil production would push prices over $200 a barrel, to possibly $400 a barrel, he said."
oil surge
What do we doomers have to do to keep ahead of these kinds of official statements these days? It's getting damn hard to out-doom official voices who are very much in a position to know exactly what they are talking about!

See! It worked! $140.39. _________________ "So while you sit and whistle Dixie with your money and your power.

Not for long. Wholesale RBOB gasoline is up almost eleven cents today.
This is so amazing. We forum rats have been right about everything. _________________ "Thank you for attending the oil age. We're going to scrape what we can out of these tar pits in Alberta and then shut down the machines and turn out the lights. Goodnight." - seldom_seen |

What is it with 9 cents? Highs have something against integers of ten? _________________ Was a long and dark December

So, how shall we celebrate the soon-to-come $150 per barrel oil? |
Solstice dancing and drumming to celebrate the sun god, our new energy god. _________________ Because it's all about the oil. |

By getting blind, stinking, dead drunk.
Problem with that, of course, is that eventually you sober up and reality re-intrudes... _________________ "Thank you for attending the oil age. We're going to scrape what we can out of these tar pits in Alberta and then shut down the machines and turn out the lights. Goodnight." - seldom_seen |
