How then, do we move backwards? How does a society, with most of the people having no clue of future events, move from being dependent on a vast and intertwined network of goods and services produced by the indigenous people of whereever, to a local resource and renewable energy based society, and do so in the timeframe available (20-30 years using the most liberal extimates, 10-20 with resonable estimates, 5-10 with worst case scenarios), all the while prices on everything increasing, world politics getting more militaristic, governments continuously reducing civil liberties, shortages of goods on the market and weather patterns resembling bad Hollywood movies?

Modern man looks upon old wisdom and knowledge as dead, useless and no longer respected.
Modern man began to depend on the money system and no longer Mother Earth for food. According to prophecy when this happens Mother Earth will hide the nourishment which she provides because of the view that ancient food is poor man’s food.
When all food disappears modern man will try to correct his mistake, the conditions he caused upon the earth through his inventions. He will try to achieve some kind of method to heal the wound, but this will not be possible when we reach the point of no return.
Only through peace the survival of mankind and our planet Earth is possible. Only if we, the human race, are willing to change.

Very true. There are many "ifs" and contingencies involved in the Hopi Prophecies. Taken in a broad view though, they are very very accurate. Amazing for information passed to them over 1,000 years ago.

I don't know. What I understand is Dan Evchema was one of the last traditional Hopi Elders alive and wanted to share his knowledge of the Hopi Prophecies before his death as he seemed to think we are in the final hour.
What's important is the message. Even if the prophecy about the industrialized world was formulated 100 years ago by the Hopi Elders, I'd say it's pretty profound. Matter of fact It's a very profound idea TODAY! The Elders are "stick" people, How can they know these things? Baffling.
