Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

Graveyards are quiet but I'm not looking forward to living in one on a planetary scale.
But back to the topic. I don't give up because I'm not made that way. If PO turns out to be half as disastrous as is predicted on this board, I intend to be around to watch it happen. I also want to use whatever skills I have to get my family through it as best I can. If I die it will be after I have tried everything to live. Which is why the backyard looks like a construction site (garden) and the stacks of rice are annoying my wife. Its still not enough but I try to make myself more survivalable everyday.

Its very encouraging to hear that my husband is not the only annoyed spouse! I have quite the lineup of the large white buckets with flour, wheat, sugar, beans, etc, canned foods that have to be hauled to the basement storage area every week, usually by my husband. I just remind him that he likes to eat so its worth the little extra effort and yes he would rather have a nice perfect green lawn in the backyard rather than my garden that is growing like a jungle. Wait till he sees the several bushels of green beans and cucumbers I've ordered from a local farmer that is going to deliver to my office tomorrow.....(I might be blogging from the dog house tomorrow night-hopefully the wireless connection will work).
