Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

This is problem #1. These economic reports, at least the ones that are publicly stated, have been tinkered with and watered down over the past few years so that the numbers will look good in the media. This is like doing a beautiful landscape painting on your car windshield. Looks good, but does not help you steer, and does not help you do any future planning.

"Capitalism does not judge between Paris Hilton's use of fuel to have lunch in London versus the application of those BTU's to build solar panels for a sustainable future. It allots the BTUs to those able to afford them, regardless of the opportunity cost."
Imagine the surface of the earth like the skin on a teenagers face. It seeps oil all over the place, except in a few places it gets trapped under a plugged pore, and it builds pressure until its about to pop.
The oil industry has popped all of the big zits on the worlds face, now it must go and dig out the blackheads and do face peels.

I think this is a first Cur.. a member trying to bump himself off the front page.
Actually I wish there was a quote that said just that. Something that expressed the genuine nature of a member who's selfless enough to put content before ego. A sincere person who is dedicated to simple, human truth.
That's at least as good as the acne analogy huh?

Back on track here. Whether we're all going to die from a terrible disease, or starve to death or whatever, we'll still want to be able to drive to work over the next few decades without having to mortgage our homes to do it.
Drilling. I'm not going to sit here and debate the finer points of what is out there to be found or not found in the way of oil and gas reserves. For over a century we have been proving people wrong in field after field after field. The reserves we've been able to get out of the ground have exceeded original calculations over and over again. We have found and produced oil and gas from places nobody thought we could, places where people didn't think there was even a possibility it existed. The vast majority of the oil and gas reserves in the world were found by American oil companies....American people.
People in the oil and gas industry in this country are some of the boldest, most innovative, most technologically advanced in the world. They have risked their livelihood, and, yes, their lives to get oil and gas out of the ground. They have a passion about what they do that is second to none, a passion that transends the monetary gain they get from success.
There is no other industry I know of where this country is as dominant as it is in oil and gas exploration.
All I have to say is JUST GET THE HECK OUT OF OUR WAY!. That's all we are asking.

Humans bend the environment to their wishes, and humans learn.
Hey wait a minute... my dad said that to me when I was a kid. I still use the phrase all the time... I think it ought to be attributed to CarlinsDarlinsDad first
