Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

Well if you want to judge me on my giving then you know nothing about me. If you would like me to clarify things i do that you feel make me a better person then i can.

But it obviously would not matter because to you i am just some evil rich (but not by my standards) guy.

No, you're just pathetic. Really. You think you exist in some kind of farking vacuum, that thanks to your know-how, spirt of entreprenurialship, and inner drive, you're the shining example of all that's good while those poorer than you are examples of crap in the street. I'd guess that I make more money than you, so in your eyes you're nothing but crap compared to me.

"Yes I have loans" you say. Where do you think that money came from? God? Thin air? It's the result of someone's labor, I guarantee you that. The bank doesn't have any money to loan you without the deposits of other laborers, some wealthier than you, many poorer than you. They also aren't going to give you jackshit without the faith of the goverment, who says "Yes, if Mr. Gunny doesn't pay back his loan, we'll make it up". You (I assume, Mr. blue collar) went to a public school, paid for with - gasp - taxes collected from other people, which allowed you to get a decent education, then you lollygagged in your parents house for 2 years until you got out on your own at 19, working in a tool and die industry that wouldn't exist if not for other people buying cars and widgets. Bottom line is that, but for the stability and willingness to participate of the people around you, you would be digging grubs out of the ground to eat and trying to avoid armed gangs of zombie hordes, so would I, so would every other American. WTF do you think they do in the Sudan, play tiddlywinks? No doubt in your mind those people there got it coming to them because they're just a bunch of lazy bastards.

If you want to make the point that there's a lot of people in the US that are bad off because they're pathetic and choose to be bad off, that's fine I agree 100%, but your holier-than-thou attitude of being above it all because of some magical inner qualities you possess is bullshit. I know plenty of people that would work circles around your ass and they still struggle.

Yes i work for someone else but also have a internet based business that brings in another 30,000 a year so yes i do run my own business. I am the only one that does anything for my side business. I taught myself how to build websites from scratch, market them and sell products on them.

As far as lazy i started this morning at 5:30 am i will work ntil 4 pm. Drive home and after i put my kids to bed around 9:30 i will work on my other business until about 11-12 pm. Yup pretty lazy to me!

Thanks for the personal attacks, like i said when you have no other valid logical argument they seem to be the old standby.

I have been waiting for you to call me an asshole, that would make my day.

its actually cheaper and more effective to educate and rehabilitate alot of non violent drug related prisoners rather then lock them up.

Yeah, they're fun, aren't they? But you seem to be missing the point folks are trying to make, which is that you really can't fairly judge another person's situation without knowing them. You make judgements about people who don't have health insurance, and then get pissy about "personal attacks" when others make judgements about you.

I am not getting pissy, i never once fired back with a name or negative comment directed towards some one.

My main point is that alot of people in the USA not Sudan not some third world country squander and never even try to take advantage of whats available to them and when they realize they are in a bad spot then look to the government to nurture them.

Plus the so called poor usually have a cell phone, cable TV, internet and alot of them smoke. So there is obviously money that can be spent on needs but people choose to spend them on wants!

Its a slippery slope and this "gimmie" attitude that is sweeping America will be our undoing.

Well goody on you. I bet you even wrote the code that allowed you to write HTML. Hell, I bet you invented the internet itself so you'd have someplace to peddle the wares that you invent in your garage with the code you wrote on the computer you invented.

OH, so then you agree that lots of hours in makes someone a hard worker? I can take you to a lot of coal mining towns (coal that, btw, provides the GD electricity so you can be typing your asinine argument on the internet) where guys work 12 hour shifts covered in coal dust and drop dead at 40 from black lung.

No, the arguments are completely logical, it's your lack of understanding of the arguments that makes you feel this way. Perhaps you should have studied harder in high school.

I'd be happy to oblige, but that fact is already painfully obvious.

The welfare mindset is a problem. . . but does it compare to an entire society that is predicated on the use of a single resource when that resource is now starting to inexorably disappear forever? Ask the Easter Islanders . . .oh wait . .you can't. They are all dead. How bout the the people of Angkor Wat. Nope, it's overgrown with 100's of years of weeds.

Yes, the welfare mindset is a problem. However, it really only amounts to re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic. Welfare is not going to be the "undoing" of america. Cars are. If you are looking for an Iceberg, you can't miss it. It is shaped like an SUV.

How bout we take some of those deck-chairs and plug some holes so more people can get off instead of using them for your 40 mile commute.

Or better yet, why don't you use all your talent and skill to go down a few flights of stairs and unlock the gates holding steerage below decks.

But maybe you like steerage right where they are.

When I say, "Half the people on this ship are gonna die."

you will come back with:

"Not the better half."
