Member Quotes
Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

That is worth a couple of points. Laughing

Add a blu ray to that and change the number of computers to 6 (with another 5 capable of running but don't because they are too slow)...

Ok I have another secret. Although I grew up in a solid middle class republican suburb by a capitalist father, he was a radical enviromentalist. He joined the Sierra Club back in the 70's and use to take me to all the protests. I can recall at age 10 having to hand out Anti-Regan, Anti-James Watts, Anti-pork barrel literature in my neighbors mailboxes. I think he did it to meet and score with hippie women(which he did) after he divorced Mom. It was kind of cool growing up in the Sierra club back in the 70's. Aside from the overnight canoe trips(with more hippie women),The Lonestar Chapter of the Sierra Club would meet at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

So every month I got to spend a couple of hours running around in the dark with Dinosaur exibits while the adults plotted to derail the Ford and Reagan Administration.

Oh, yeah, we have all kinds of computer parts here. We must have ten sets at least in the house. Only 6 are usually on (the 7th is my laptop, which I hardly ever use anymore).

I'm addicted to my fireplace in the winter. It is an old-fashioned wood burning fireplace so I don't have to feel guilty about the fuel for it. On the other hand it is a massive heat loss source for my house, so the furnace has to work overtime to make up for it. I just can't help it though, a nice crackling wood fire just makes it so damn homey.

I work for a large government department and the bureaucracy drives me insane. Trouble is, I don't know what else to do with myself.

Let's see...

I hate the label "peak oil" because of stereotype that goes with it.

I love movies with car chases and big fiery explosions.

I have all seven seasons of Dukes of Hazzard.

MAP: Malta ALL DAY. and others.

I nap nearly every day.

I cut more grass than I should.

I'm a butt man. Shocked

i'm right there with plenty of people who already posted...
i drive 250 miles a week just getting to work and back.
i live about 1/4 mile from the local supermarket/hardware store/etc., but i always take the car rather than walk.
i've thrown out stuff that probably has no business being in a landfill, even aluminum cans. nowadays, at least i recycle aluminum.
probably the biggest secret i've got is that i get moody about all the stuff going on in the world or at work and i find myself being less of a husband and father than i should be. it's hard to smile and say 'let's play, kids' when you feel like it's all going to hell.

Good day from Pheba, From the farm:
Absolutely nuts about vintage Singer sewing machines.
I even ,gasp! (hangs head in shame) buy them on E-Bay and pay high charges to ship them.
I own 13 sewing machines.
Yes, I sew on all of them. It is an addiction.
I always want just one more machine.
Pheba.
