Yeah, the person who started this thread keeps talking about a small group of climate scientists that are having some kind of great debate. Well, please tell us who these scientists are and where we can check out their research. I know you cannot do that, I have checked the literature, the climate scientists research has led them to think GHG cause warming.
People who are denialists have to be very gullible or have an interest that needs protecting. |

Fossil fuels have stored CO2 from a time well before human evolution. The atmosphere had a much higher percentage in previous eras when the temperature was higher. It would be unreasonable to not expect changes in the climate if this ratio was to change.
Climate change skeptics remind me of the tobacco lobby - smoking is healthy and safe and is not linked to cancer. |

The parallels are disturbing b/w cancer and climate change. The same "scientists", like the oft-quoted Fred Singer, that denied smoking causes cancer are now being paid by Big Oil to say that climate change is a scam.

Hi GG,
Some folks have genetic blinkers. They see what gives them their comfort zone. They also will defend their comfort zone. Of course to our point of view, they are incorrect but not necessarily evil.
Those who sell their PHD to the highest bidder and know better, they are the truly evil ones.

Thanks for the link, Greg. I think those scumbags will be the first I folks I eat when my crops won't grow because of climate changes. Hopefully, I will have no trouble locating Fred. I think I'll slowly smoke him first. |

And many are being paid. Its their job to deny GW, and/or deny human cause/ and or assert it will make the world a better place, etc. etc. etc.... |

The above does not question the reality of global warming, it questions the accuracy of predictions of surface temperature.
Such scrutiny of results is part of the scientific process.
It's called "peer review."

Here here, that's all I'm asking for also; to allow the normal scientific process to commence without witch hunts and demonization of skeptics. Skepticism is a necessary part of the scientific process and anyone who has a problem with that has no business being called a scientist.
