Is PO.com a money making venture?
Or is it more of a public service and funded by its owners and donations? |

To eight pp??? *giggle*
Click on Search (up above at about 11 o'clock. It will take you to a search screen. Type in po.com in the top right-hand space, then in the next section, change the search option to "Search thread topic only" (the only one I use anymore as it gets me better results).
Then, click Submit.
The eight pp of threads will pop up!
Enjoy! _________________ "RRrrruuuunnnn!!!" ~Apocalypto |

Thanks.
Peakoil.com is published and maintained by private US citizens in an effort to educate and promote awareness of global hydrocarbon depletion.
Greetings,
PO.com is a privately funded website, and has no affiliation with any group, business or other interest group.
Publishing at this domain has two primary benefits:
1. The preferred Domain Name for what we feel will become the most important debate of humanity.
2. Preventing some other group from commercializing this domain name.
The supporting staff are 100% volunteers from around the globe, and receive no compensation of any kind.
Our agenda is as simple as our slogan:
"Exploring the Issue of Hydrocarbon Depletion"
Nice that PO only has to answer to truth and not greed.
2 quotes come to mind:
"Trade curses everything it touches and even though you trade in 'messages from heaven' trade attaches itself and the whole thing becomes cursed." ~ Thoreau.
"Don't crap where you eat" ~ Anonymous. |

Oh it's making money all right... for our host company.
All kidding aside, this place costs money... lots of it.
We would love for it to make money however... then we could afford to expand our publishing efforts into other areas.
But no... we all do this because it's the right thing to do.
And that, has made all the difference.

Well, my thanks to all those that have donated their time and money to such a wonder public service venue.
