| That's so cute, but too small for us. I have a Honda FIT which gets a little over 40 mpg. It's tiny, but can haul a load of stuff with the seats down and enough headroom that my 6'8" DS can ride in the front seat without bumping his head. ^__^ |

I drive a Toyota Landcruiser. Mines white. Gets 14 mpg.
Also have an older FJ-40 Landcruiser (10 mpg) and a RAV-4 (25 mpg).
I need 4WD to get up the ridge to my house in the winter.
And I just bought a Honda Ruckus scooter (100 mpg) for the summer.

2008 Toyota Prius. As much as 60 US MPG (70 Imperial or 3.7L/100 KM). Normal driving about US 40-50 MPG. Lots of room inside for family and cargo.
I switched from my 1994 320 HP Dodge Stealth Twin-Turbo AWD/AWS (18-19 US MPG) 1.5 months ago.
Both cars were/are wonderful for their intended purposes IMO.

Fro me - a 2008 Smart car - about 40mpg, and handles like a go cart. Suspension is stiff, though.
My wife drives a Prius, 50mpg. |

You better believe it. You should have seen the dash. It looked similar and was solid steel. No wimpy plastic covered foam in there! And lap belts only. Mine had a suicide knob which helped because the power steering was out. Really built the arms up.

2007 Ford Focus (auto). I've been getting a consistent 30mpg with all city driving (although i do drive like a grandpa). Lots of room, but still an overweight American car. I've had older Rangers, Escorts, a Prelude.
I should've bought a Prius or a Yaris... _________________ "Oil is going up because we use too much oil, and the capacity to replace reserves is dwindling"

Hell, a Vietnamese family could live in it. The trunks on those old Chryslers were awesome, weren't they? The word "cavernous" comes to mind. My dad had a couple of them from that vintage. _________________ "Thank you for attending the oil age. 1996 Ford Contour with an automatic transmission(I wish it were a manual); it gets between 27-29 mpg driven normally on the highway at ~70 mph, and even got 35.17 mpg measured on a tank from Oklahoma to Missouri at a steady 55 mph on cruise control. MPG in the city driving like a jackass is around 20 mpg.
With some minor aerodynamic modifications, LRR tires, synthetic engine/transmission oil, and other tweaks, 35 mpg at 70 mph and 45 mpg at 55 mph might be doable.
I want a supercharger in it, but only after I implement the efficiency modifications. _________________ The unnecessary felling of a tree, perhaps the old growth of centuries, seems to me a crime little short of murder. ~Thomas Jefferson |
