How then, do we move backwards? How does a society, with most of the people having no clue of future events, move from being dependent on a vast and intertwined network of goods and services produced by the indigenous people of whereever, to a local resource and renewable energy based society, and do so in the timeframe available (20-30 years using the most liberal extimates, 10-20 with resonable estimates, 5-10 with worst case scenarios), all the while prices on everything increasing, world politics getting more militaristic, governments continuously reducing civil liberties, shortages of goods on the market and weather patterns resembling bad Hollywood movies?

I'm kind of doing a comic book version of Peak Oil/Doomer story. This story is copyrighted by me and date stamped here by this website.

Story is about a man who goes back to a small town after the world blows over. I'm starting right now, feel free to comment. Whatever suggestions made here may be used by me. So, please, no lawsuits.

Hm. There are only two pages of cells.

What's the rapture?

Rapture? Like I said, I'm just starting the story. Story is part love story.

Summary:

Something happens to the world, maybe part war/ part global depression after peak oil. I really don't want to go into the details of what happens to the world. maybe that's not important. I'm more interested in focusing on the people who have to deal with the aftermath, if you know what I mean.

IF you really want to develop characters you should create a structure with a foundation based upon the russian magicians.

Peak Oil is a fiction (at this point). Are you attempting to write fiction?
