Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

Greetings,

My name is Brian Love and I am a member of Earthaven Ecovillage, a permaculture-based intentional community in the mountains of western North Carolina. I work within the community in areas such as logging, building, farming, and renewable energy systems to create sustainable solutions to the problems that face our species and our world.

I am seeking hardworking, enthusiastic, & responsible apprentice candidates who are interested in actively addressing these problems (peak oil, environmental degradation, economic collapse, social unrest, loss of genetic divesity both wild and domesticated, etc.) who are available to start working this summer. For more information, please see the following link: http://www.earthaven.org/internships.php
My position is the second described, entitled "Sustainable Building and Integrated Farm Systems".

If you're interested, please contact me directly via the e-mail address provided on the Earthaven website.

Thanks for your time and attention,
Brian Love

What kind of long term arrangement will be made for these apprentices with regard to having their own small home in your community? Can they work towards that, receive credits? If it's simply a way to extract labour from people with strong backs, I don't think it's fair. As for it being educational? Yes, so are jobs that pay well and put you on a track that leads to promotion and more pay.

I'll be visiting an ecovillage called "L'ecovillage du Mont Radar" in southern Quebec in roughly 4 weeks time. If I like the place, I have enough saved up to start a Cob home and get learning and preparing for life in the slow lane.

It's too bad there aren't more ecovillages like yours in Canada. It's tempting to visit but I want to avoid the US at all costs.

Have any recommendations for myself? I don't believe the ecovillage in Quebec is peak-oil aware, making it slightly difficult to get across why I would want to rush into life amongst them. It's an uphill battle.

Best of luck.

Nicholai
