I'm really frightened by this commercial, not because its suppose to be superficial but because Paris Hilton actually seems to display more energy acumen and insight than either McCain or Obama. I think America is in real trouble.

| It was a subtle suggestion by the McCain camp to see if she was interested in being the V.P. Now that she has accepted, she should join the camp any day. McCain-Hilton has a real ring to it. |

I think, Paris Hilton would be a good president of US, perhaps a better one then Obama or Mc Cain would be.
It would not take me long to make right decision, if I am to vote on one of these...
After all president is only a figurehead, so there is no reason why it should not be pretty.
In any case Paris Hilton is certainly far more knowledgeable person than president Bush is.
Lets hope that during next election (if there is going to be such a thing...) Paris Hilton and Hillary Clinton will show to be main candidates. 
I am pretty certain, who would win that...

It scares me to think that come November one of these ass clowns will be president.
They are both hopeless ... "Songbird" McCain probably more so.
Incidentally Paris obviously had someone write the skit for her ... I doubt she really understood what she was talking about. This of course would make her a perfect candidate for the office of president. |

Paris Hilton play the brain-dead with gusto but on top of desirable characteristics she has a steely determination ,
she said that her grand( ?) father started the fortune from being a bell boy ans she wanted to make one on her own , definitely scoring some green stuff and having fun in the process .
She is supposed to be pal with one of the Coby brothers of Maroubra
some reference of guts .

what impressed me about the Paris Hilton video was not the speech, which was written for her, but that she read it to camera perfectly and with good intonation, unlike the present Prez and the "white haired guy".

That was the best line. Of the three I would be most worried about debating Paris. McCain would be the easiest to destroy and Obama would be predictable in his Harvard lawyer style, but Paris would be tough. |

I was thinking that same thing even before I read the second sentence. Obviously none of them are an expert at anything except networking. The reason she sounded better informed is purely because she has no constituency to offend and therefore the speech writers were able to address the issue, even superficially. Professional politicians usually have to speak without addressing the issue, so opposing camps go away with the impression that the issue was addressed, and that they heard nothing with which they disagreed. This can even work in the extreme case of complete silence - our current Prime Minister owes his coronation in part to the fact that he rarely spoke and few people knew of any citation that could disqualify him.
