Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

Linking war to oil is kind of like playing the Kevin Bacon game. If you want to see a connection, you can find it, whether it's the real motivation or not. _________________ http://doomsteaddiary.blogspot.com/

hmmmm
I see you hail from very near Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania,
Did you weep when they became independant??
Independent for what...so that you and your band of investors could swoop in on its assets? Crazy mofo. _________________ Bugger me, I hear oil's runnin out mate!

While the conflict initially wasnt about oil I think it rapidly will become all about oil if GWB and Condi start acting righteously and making noises about supporting Georgia. Russia cant wait to show who holds the high cards and some decrease in flow would put a lot of economic pressure on the West. Back to $145 by next week if this blows up - 48 hrs for sanity to prevail? Or am I still just paranoid and delusional??

Not at all. You are right in the 10 ring!
Remember, what we've seen is about a 20% drop from $147 to $115. That's the same as a drop from about $37 to $30 or from $25 to $20, which in years past was typical and norman. Now we see a 20% dip and think it'll take an overnight drying up of Ghawar to make it rise back. _________________ Got Dharma?

Georgian forces, trained and equipped by the Pentagon and the U.S. government, killed 10 Russian peacekeepers early this morning in a provocation attack that has escalated into military conflict, but the subsequent corporate media coverage would have us believe that the U.S. and NATO-backed client state Georgia is a helpless victim, when in actual fact a far more nuanced geopolitical strategy is being played out link
