Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

If that was taken yesterday, then that is the most extrordenary photograph of derelection of duty I think I have ever seen in a US president.
Ukraine, the Baltic states hell Poland, no scrub that Portugal will be wanting to know that the US president is paying a wee bit more attention to Russia than a womans arse.
Not that a President can't enjoy himself occasionally but as I have said before; this Bush is not interested in politics, he just wants a good time. Decisions can be handled by Cheney and the MoneyMasters.
Haven't seen the figures lately but during his first term the estimate was that he was out of office 40% of the time. _________________ It's not a bailout, it's a buy-in" - Nancy Pelosi

Seems like Russia still thinks it has something to accomplish?

TBILISI, Georgia (CNN) -- Russian troops have warned they intend to push further into western Georgia, Georgian officials claimed Sunday as an increasingly violent territorial dispute in the former Soviet state threatened to spiral into a major international conflict.

(CNN) — Urkaine said it might prevent Russian navy ships now blockading Georgia’s coast from returning to their bases in the Crimea, an spokeswoman with Urkaine’s foreign ministry said.
Russia’s Black Sea Navy imposed a blockade on Georgia’s coast, which it said was aimed at stopping shipments of military supplies into the country, according to Interfax, Russia’s official news agency.
“This statement is new to us and it requires analysis,” said Russian Defense Ministry Colonel-General Anatoly Nogovitsyn. “It is a case of a third party intervening in the process, which is quite surprising.”

Now may be a good time to re-read what Engdahl said
about Georgia in the article below:
Quote:
. . . Washington is definitely playing with potential nuclear fire by escalating pressure to push Georgia and Ukraine into NATO. The Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Karl Schwarzenberg on July 8 signed an agreement allowing US deployment of special radar facilities on Czech soil as part of the top secret US "missile defense" it alleges is aimed at rogue missile threats from Iran. As even former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger recently pointed out, the Bush Administration' s categorical refusal to pursue the 2007 counter-offer of then-President Vladimir Putin to station US radar at the Russian leased reconnaissance facility in Azerbaijan instead, was a provocative mistake. It makes abundantly clear that Washington is aiming its military strategy at the dismantling of Russia as a potential adversary. That, as I have written previously, is a recipe for a possible nuclear war by mis-calculation. Rice's latest Caucasus and Czech visit only added to that growing danger.

Georgia, Washington and Moscow: a Nuclear Geopolitical Poker Game
by F. William Engdahl
Global Research, July 12, 2008
The Caucasus Republic of Georgia as nations go does not appear to be a major global player. Yet Washington has invested huge sums and organized to put its own despot, Mikhail Saakashvili, in the Presidency in order to close a nuclear NATO iron ring around Russia. Now US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is in Tbilisi making sharp statements against Moscow for supporting the independent neighbor states of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, in essence blaming Moscow for an imminent war Washington has incited in order to bring Georgia into NATO by the December NATO Summit.

RU has a lease until 2017 to use the Black Sea port at Sevastopol.
If they have problems there..they have a navy also in Rostov area they can dock in.
The news really didnt say that Russia has invaded Georgia..mainly it says that the Georgians have set up a defense around Gori in case of an attack.
Seems also the Russians are losing much more soldiers then the Georgians.
Russia defenentely has air superiority, and Naval superiority.
