Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

That Metro article Carrie found is pretty interesting:

http://www.peakoil.com/article714.html

Even if they did call Matt "Mark." Wink

I can't believe the Chinese have banned bicycles from Beijing. I was in Beijing a couple of years ago, and there were bicycles everywhere. Most people didn't have cars, but everyone had a bike. Now they're banned???

I had hopes that China could avoid the trap we're in, but it's looking less and less likely.

You're welcome. I spotted it in the newstand when I was out getting some lunch today, and they had it as their cover story, with a big gas gauge on "empty" drawing. I took a double take & grabbed it. Smile
