Hmm...Obama would be an idiot for picking someone who plagiarized TWENTY years ago? Why would that be an issue? When Obama plagiarized just a few months ago, it died out after a few days. If Biden's ever comes up, it'll be VERY brief; won't matter a bit.
And he's hardly a lightweight. Very experienced on foreign policy and he's an attack-dog. He'll go after McCain and the GOP Veep like Obama won't. He'll easily win the debates, not that it will matter much.

To get elected yes; to govern, hell no. It would be Cheney overriding Bush all over again. And Lynn Cheney over Bush as well.

NOT different, NOT unexpected, NOT new or fresh.
Instead, an old Senate hack, another member of the Club.
Obama has been steadily losing his "outsider, change-agent" image, and the Biden pick worsens this trend.
Also, the choice misreads America's mood. People are tired of foreign-policy administrations like Bush's, and Biden is a foreign-policy guy. Americans want a domestic-policy administration.
What's more, this pick does not bring Obama a big swing state. You oughta at least get that out of your VP choice.
Maybe he's the great debater people say he is; I haven't seen him gab on for a while, so I'll reserve judgment on that.
Overall I'd say this choice is another nail in Obama's coffin. It makes him look weak---as though he needs an experienced older man, a daddy, to help him navigate. OTOH, this strategy worked for the boy emperor Bush.
I knew Obama was drifting the wrong way when he started talking about "winning" in Afghanistan. Once these guys go far enough they lose all rational (and NATIONAL) focus. They become would-be emperors of the world. _________________ "Actually, humans died out long ago."

I must have been drinking too much of the Golem kool-aid, because when I loaded CNN.com this morning I could have sworn it said:

I can just see tomorrow's McCain ad:
Obama & Biden riding toward each other on llamas & Obama asks Biden: "Where ya been?" Biden replies: "I been ridin' all summah cuz I'm on a laden llama" as he pats the baggage behind him... _________________ "When men yield up the privilege of thinking, the last shadow of liberty quits the horizon."

Not sure about this pick.
Biden is too poor to be veep. His net worth is like less than 200K.
Plus he commutes by Amtrak for christ sake. |

This is the best news I've heard for post-Peak life...
Someone who isn't entirely insulated from reality by their bank account.
Someone who supports (presumably) mass transit and the survival/revival of Amtrak... _________________ "... among the ways available in which a man can die, it is a rare and signal distinction to be killed by a leopard."
