Member Quotes
Oil's energy contribution has declined by about 12% since 1999. The world's economies have also declined by about 12%. (Using conventional metrics, which are time delayed determinations, this will only be seen in hind sight). The massive destruction of asset values now occurring testifies to it happening. Peak is well behind us, world economies have peaked and will continue to decline.

Jesus! I know I shouldn't expect more from them, but still... what the hell it's wrong with this people?

FTA: "The Bush administration yesterday proposed scaling back protected zones for endangered whales in the Atlantic Ocean, yielding to cargo companies' concerns about new speed limits for ships in these areas."

The only thing you can say in their favor is they've been consistent all along in shamelessly shilling for big business. But hey, 2 terms here. I guess this is the government the people want, despite the 11th hour buyer's remorse.

It was easy enough to see where this bunch was headed, back in 2004.

Election day of that year was a truly dark day.

For all its faults, I guarantee you that an Obama administration would not be pursuing an attack on whales.

There are differences between the Gut-Our-Planet Party and the Dems. Small but significant, and this one is an example.

What is the matter with you all. haven't you heard of peak oil. Before petroleum, we used whale oil to light our homes. It will be part of the "renewable energy" package, along with ethanol, biodiesel, and "natural" gas. I even suspect there will be new subsidies for whaling boats.

McCain is a shoe in thanks to Bush's engineered South Ossetian crisis.

Cutting speeds in whale areas is opposed by D. Cheney and Bush.
Shippers complained that it would hurt them to slow the ships down alittle becuase as we all know, "time is money" Ships need to get into port faster to unload their containers of Chinese made crap and reload containers full of American Oxygen.
