I was for McCain eight years ago when he was the maverick Republican with a conscience and integrity. A lot better then a reformed alcholic REMF rich boy playing with daddys rolidex. Now I worry he is too old. I watched how fast Reagon declined after he was shot along with other seniors I have been around when their own personel SHTF time came. The stress of the job today especially when you consider PO means the chance of him having a senior moment when it counts is very real.
On the other hand Obama has never been tested in any meaningful way. As smart as he is we have no clue how he will act under pressure. His liberal programs if inacted may well push us over the brink of economic collapse. The fact that he dosn't see the danger in the sum of the promises he has made makes him the more dangerous choice.
Of course Vemonts three electoral votes will go to Obama so all I can do is stock up on popcorn for the next four years.

I didn't use to like McCain but now that he's got the implant he seems okay. As long as they can neutralize the xenophobia and alzheimers I'm sure he'll be a more than adequate corporate puppet. I'd have more to say but diebold really needs these boxes programmed...

Name one black leader who has actually led his people/constituency to prosperity. Name one. If there isn't a single country in Africa that anyone in the west would even consider moving to, why would we elect a black president. Just look at how good a job Dinkins did, or Nagin, or Kwame, or any of those double digit IQ affirmative action placements. Braindead liberals won't be happy until we're all living in mud huts rubbing sticks together.

This is a good point.. and quite not PC at that. On a related note explain to me why Eastern Europe was at the level of, say, today's Somalia, in 1945. Yet WITHOUT ANY Marshall plan and with the USSR sucking Poland and Tchechoslovakia and to a lesser degree East Germany dry, those countries stood up within years to become societies with decent standards of living. This in spite of socialism, the lack of freedoms and an adverse climate for capitalism and personal initiative.
