Like the illusion of Wall Street, with its vast and powerful investment banks, now shuttered, China too is an illusion perpetuated by the Globalists that gave us the 15,000 mile Caesar salad, poisoned cat food and lead based paint on babies' pacifiers. Like the illusion that money would come from thin air to always push housing prices higher, China has spent a generation pursuing its illusion. Pursuing an unattainable dream to be like the West, while 6000 years of its carefully shepherded top soil blows into the sea.

The Pallada, the pride of the Far Eastern State Technical Fisheries University (Dalrybvtuz), celebrated her birthday on July 4, 2008.
The ship's construction began on March 28, 1988 at the Lenin shipyards in Gdansk, Poland, and was floating only four months later. She hoisted the flag of the U.S.S.R. on July 4, 1989.
The ship was named for the famed Russian frigate, described by Ivan Goncharov in his novel "The Frigate Pallada". The Dalryba All-Union Fisheries made this decision in 1986.
The Pallada is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's fastest tall ship, because she develops a speed in excess of 18 knots. The ship has spent about 13 years at sea and logged over 360,000 nautical miles.
About 480 cadets from Far Eastern nautical colleges undergo training on the ship annually. "All-hands sail evolutions," damage control, emergency drills, mastering navigation basics, and general seamanship training - all offer a chance for cadets to get a feel for the sea, and literally learn the ropes, while visiting ports in other countries where the cadets conduct tours of the ship for guests.

Replaced link. Thanks for yours. Yes, very pretty.
We must not allow this sailing ship gap to widen! We must develop a sailing ship that will go 20 knots! We'll show them.
It's time to engage in a sailing ship race, er... sailing ship arms race. _________________ In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. - George Orwell

If your going to do that, you need to learn some rope cadence.

I actually saw this training ship about ten years ago in Portsmouth harbour with a lot of other ships from around the world. the spectacle was amazing, but this ship stood out IMHO because of its pristine condition.

Rope cadence? There will be no men in tights on my ship!
More traditional songs may be in order.
One day the tall ships will return. I should like to see them. _________________ If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--for ever."
