Curran looks to deport illegal immigrants

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is working with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service to deport illegal aliens who are in the Lake County Jail for criminal offenses. A recent jail audit found at least 20 percent of the jail’s population were in the country illegally.
During a press conference on Thursday, Sheriff Mark Curran talked about the problem of illegal immigrants who are responsible for committing serious crimes. The sheriff’s office is currently seeking 287(g) status from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for its correctional officers, which would facilitate the deportation process for jail inmates who are illegal immigrants.
“You cannot fight for crime victims and ignore the illegal immigration problem,” said Curran. “You cannot fight the war against drunk drivers and ignore the illegal immigration problem. You cannot fight the drug war and ignore the illegal immigration problem. You cannot pretend to care about all the children that die from gang and drug violence and ignore the illegal immigration problem.” |

Remarkable! The country is being ripped off big time to the tune of trillions and she is obsessed with a few flea bitten economic refugees. And we wonder why we repeatedly have these crises in our societies with logic like this!

| Americandream, you're pretty good at the art of understatement. There are more than a "few flea bitten economic refugees" here. There are millions here and they are a huge drain on our economy considering they send their untaxed wages back to Mexico and sap resources and tax dollars by filling up jail space and emergency rooms. Not to mention the massive amount of drugs and crime that they import. But hey, at least they're not hajis. |

How do you intend to deal with these illegals? I mean you rednecks voted in the Republicans and what do we have. One farking trillion dollars being syphoned out of txpayers pockets to pay for their scams. I don't know who is a greater nuisance value to those of us who would rather we had a less crazier world. These populist thieves who simply have to snap thjeir fingers to get you nut jobs in a froth or you fellows.
All I know is that each time a redneck so much as gets close to the levers of power in any country, we get more of the same old crap they promise to rid us of and we find ourselves light in pocket.

All those Southern "Red" states have allowed a flood of illegals in for cheap labor for many decades. Texas being one. You can't have your cake and eat it too. They sure as heck ain't flooding in from Canada.
