Oil's energy contribution has declined by about 12% since 1999. The world's economies have also declined by about 12%. (Using conventional metrics, which are time delayed determinations, this will only be seen in hind sight). The massive destruction of asset values now occurring testifies to it happening.
Peak is well behind us, world economies have peaked and will continue to decline.

nothing left for them to do. Or cause these jobs go to americans. cause i want them out becuase these jobs are for americans.
And i think we should start paying them to stay. Giving them grants 10 k and up. To start a business in mexico. Loans of 5 k to pay rent in mexcio. In fact i say we subsidize There economy. Make them stay there. They open up a company.
the build xyz.
We Gurantee we buy it from them 25 percent. If they employ 500 of them. We gurantee we buy 50 percent. If they employ 2000 of them we buy 100 percent. Till they can stand on their own.
and they are independant. lets say 3 years. we need to get there economy going.
and create customers there. You know also in there defense they dont like living here.
if we made it possible for them to work in mexico. why not.?

What's the EROEI on deporting illegals?
There is no need in deporting them, actually. They can walk to their final destination, wherever that is, mexican border, Panamian border, Peruan border. Since they will obviously walk in groups, they can actually haul a lot of stuff as they go, hence a significant fuel savings for trucking industry.
And the immigrants from Africa can walk to Key West or Miami and traul fishing nets as they swim back to Africa, hence a significant fuel saving for fishing industry. _________________ Less people= more air

Its $2000 actually (2004) $6-7-8K to come to US from El Salavdor (2004-2005)
Of course, such random raids are meaningless. They should let people make civil arrests or whatever they are called. There are plenty of people who will contribute with their time and $ to participate.

You are kidding right? Being a newbie to this site but a midwest contractor who will not hire the lil bastards I think deportation is the key. They are illegal, they don't belong here they ruined there country so I guess it's ok they ruin ours also??? please. I say they should get rid of the fricking water tanks located all over the border and replace them with packs of hungry pitbulls and rots. This place is going to hell in a hand basket because of the money hungry americans that want to save a buck so they can pay for there lexus.

I've never had anything against immigrant.
However.
Illegal immigration is not the same thing.
Illegal immigrants are going to become more and more of a problem soon.
As people need jobs more, they will start wanting the jobs no one wanted before. Its best for the country to deport them and seal the border.
The United States can't cradle Mexico's baby.
Its causing problems. Crime rates climb(and I know I'm going to offend someone but when you have a large influx of lower class you get higher crime rates. Lower class people arent violent or unlawful because they are lower class, but you have more people who are desperate for money, food, etc.), gangs get going, cultures clash, economic issues, etc.
It isn't a very pretty picture.
My ancestors came in the 1700's from Germany and they did not have any formal records, however, they were recorded legally on a list.
The standards have rised, but the law remained the same.

Their are allot of Mexicans in the USA..deporting 2,000-5,000 out of 30 million is peanuts.
Mexico is entering its Long Emergency as we speak and is going to deteriorate in full speed in the next 4 years.
I expect for every 1 Mexican they deport 100 to flood in.
I am seriously expecting around 20-30 million more Mexicans to make their way up north in the next 10 years "and the insolvent USA government will let them"
Think about it if your Mexican...
you likely have family in the states..your country is bankrupt , broke and with no future..your home, sanitation, diet is getting worse daily..So Jose comes and says for 300 dollars he can help you get to New Mexico..and their you can hook up with your nephew Enrique who has 3 kids all born in the USA and are national citizens...You and your spouse and children all load up on Jose transport and head North..
Times this by the 1,000s every day.
Also expect places like Panama, Guatemala etc to do the same...
Then add the other places..like Africa, Mid East, Asia to flood in if they can.
This Open borders policy is going to come back to bite every single America..

Who knows?
I know tolerance amongst illegal aliens is fading fast.
I wouldn't be surprised if Americans take up physical violence against illegals.
Not because they are 'Mexican' but because its compitetion for work.
People might be able to settle in the border states but North of that I don't think so.

The issue of illegal immigration is THE polarizing subject of our day. I can see under a severe depression, riots breaking out and stones thrown through shop windows, with notes wrapped around the bricks that are thrown.."wetbacks go home". When jobs because scarce, conditions at those jobs will be worse, and the lengths one will go to in competition for the ever decreasing jobs will split our society down the middle.
It does sadden me that neither of our two major political candidates for the presidency have the nerve or the guts to address the issue of illegal immigrants. That's because until the next terrorist attack takes place, Americans are only willing to give up so much of their freedom for their security, to paraphrase Franklin. But once there is another terrorist attack on US soil, whether or not it came from the border, it will be blamed for the attack, and you will see the border sealed tight..and us sealed tight in a police state inside it as well. _________________ Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe.-H.G. 3 generations of a service economy where 98% of the citizens don't know how to grow food, make stuff or fix things. We will be begging them to come back once our economy collapses because they do know how to rebuild alternators, grow and harvest your broccoli, fix an axle and build a cart. Not to mention they are collectively more fuel efficient than you are. 10 mexicans going to work in a Suburban or Escalade is more fuel efficient than 10 solo drivers in their 10 Prius cars. They are better socialized for a post peak oil world and will out perform all of us. Is that maybe why deep inside we want them to go away? Their skills will out compete 99% of you on this site once peak oil really sets in _________________ Our resiliency resembles an invasive weed. We are the Kudzu Ape

40 to 50 years of American backed destabilisation of the non-white world is coming home to roost.
It's crazy that a racist society like America pauperised its coloured neighbours. Rather similar to the idiotic history of the apartheid regime in South Africa and look at where it landed them. Not only did they lose their racist ShangriLa, they now have the indignity of having to co-exist with majority black neighbours.
Welcome to your future America. There's nothing you can do to alter this dialectic. There's just too many of them and you haven't the bullets. _________________ Bugger me, I hear oil's runnin out mate!

Actually, its not a question of Bullets. Its a question of Geography.
In the absence of mechanized transport, you simply cannot move people or even armies across certain regions, the logistics fail. Even WITH mechanized transport the logistics fail, look at what happenned to Hitler's army on the Eastern Front. Look at what happenned to the Muslims hammering at the Gates of Vienna in the 1600s.
I would say its highly likely the Mexicans eventually overrun Texas. The Rio Grande just is not a very substantial geographic barrier. However, the LA Swamps and the Mighty Mississippi present a very substantial barrier. Doubtful this can be passed without a mechanized army. I'd guess long term the former Mexicans might make it as far north as Kansas and the Missouri River.
For the most part California is toast, and won't be inhabited by anyone. The Pacific Northwest protected by the Rocky Mountains probably remains in the hands of those who live there now and their descendants, if there are any. Similarly, those who live in the Valley of the Great Salt Lake, The Shenandoah Valley and in the Smokey Mountains, the Adirondacks, the Green and White Mountain Ranges also form up their own populations of survivors.
This would be a probable outcome in the absence of thermonuclear warfare. At this point however, it seems likely the bombs will fly. However, in the outcome the bombs do not fly, there really is only one place to live, either in the mountains or surrounded by mountains. The Great Wall that God Built.
