how much all this biodiversity is worth to you?
what is a price for a specie existence, whether to be paid to keep them alive or to be collected for letting them off the planet?
lets suggest that we will estimate a specie value in human life.
in the poll we will take a random mammal specie and random human individuals (you may keep those who are important to you out of the lottery) |

| I don't know about "random mammal specie and random human individuals" but I think 4 dodecahedrons are worth around 17 curtains (but only heavy ones with lining). |

In Australia 57 mammal species are at risk of extinction. link
Australia has a population of about 20 million, which is about 350,000 people for each threatened species. Is this the going rate? Would I be prepared to vapourise 350,000 people to save a few rare marsupials, dunno? But if I could bring the Thylacine back, that would be worth chasing the population of Tasmania into the sea to make room for their homecoming!
Why only mammals, isn't this all rather mammalocentric? |

well, humans are mammals. A mammal chasing other mammals of the planet, i thought its more fair to compare one with another. |

I believe that some animals have an unfair advantage to that fair rule. |

When it comes to the survival of life forms there is no such thing as an unfair advantage. It's just an advantage.
