I think this is the beginnings of an economy based on perpetual growth and fossil fuel energy running headlong into geological energy constraints. Basically I see an undulatory downward path for the rest of my life. From here out, I think any rallies in our economic condition are going to be met with spiking commodity prices that knock us right back down.
The Obama campaign finally admitted that the senator had a Kenyan citizenship, though they say it supposedly expired in 1982.
Quote:
"Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1982.”
You have got to be kidding me. A former citizen of Kenya as president of the U.S.? Give me a frickin' break. _________________ "Since you have chosen to elect a man with a timber toe to succeed me, you may all go to hell and I will go to Texas." Davy Crockett

Here's the deal - the DNC produces Obama's birth certificate, in exchange for Trig Palin's. Deal? _________________ "It's called the American Dream because you'd have to be asleep to believe it."

deMolay, I fail to see your point. What the hell do some obscure British Empire/Kenyan laws have to do with the fact that Obama's politics suck? What do they have to do with the fact that I wouldn't trust him with my money or my wife? He tells people what they want to hear, but his record speaks for itself. I won't be voting for him.
Besides, if the US disallowed dual citizenship, this would be a moot point. I've always thought dual citizenship was bullshit and that the US should outlaw it. _________________ "A little stored food and Bob's your uncle." --TT

I won't vote for him because he's a sick little war maniac just like Bush and McCain. Maybe I already mentioned this, I can't remember. _________________ Got Dharma?

Presumably DeMolay would rather have a white guy in the Whitehouse even if it meant having the bailout Republicans back. _________________ Bugger me, I hear oil's runnin out mate!

Oh man now we're screwed. Obama is kenyan, and McCain will be running alone the first couple years until Palin gets parole.
Oh no! What if it's so screwed up we can't have a "fair" election?
Guess we better postpone it. That's the right thing to do right? Err - I mean "correct" thing to do. Didn't want that confused with a shot at the right. Err - conservatives - err - neocons.

Won't matter.
The media has paid no attention to the fact his first job was for a terrorist, no attention to his legal affairs with ACORN intimidating banks to give inappropriate loans and register dead people to vote, no attention to the fact he couldn't get hired in DC with a background check, little attention to his 20 years in a black supremacist church, no attention to a racist Farekan naming him as the messiah, no attention to his total lack of experience. Why should they care about his nationality?

American Dream, where did I make any comment about Obama at all. I just posted an article I found on the web. I can't vote anyway in the USA as I am not a citizen of the USA. I posted it so I could hear comments from Americans, and in this way try to determine if the statement was true. What's wrong your little panties cutting off your blood flow, you sound like a racist. _________________ "Since you have chosen to elect a man with a timber toe to succeed me, you may all go to hell and I will go to Texas." I'm 41 years old and have paid attention to every presidential election since I was nine years old (Ford vs. Carter). But the hatred in this election season is something I've never seen before -- people calling Obama a terrorist, traitor, threatening him with death, etc. I applaud McCain for standing up to the hatred at his rallies, even though he was booed for it. That was courageous.
I hope the hate stops, but I see it continues here on this forum and is stoked by the hate-mongers elsewhere, including at Faux News. If the crumbling economy wasn't enough, now we have to deal with people who consider accusations as fact and rumors as reality. Some are even willing to threaten murder because of it. I never thought I'd see this from a nation that once legitimately claimed to be a "beacon" to the world.
I am really scared for my country. Let me leave you with this quote....
"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." -- Hermann Goering

"John McCain's campaign released a list of 100 former ambassadors endorsing the GOP presidential nominee.
Second on the list, though her name is misspelled, is Leonore Annenberg, currently the president and chairman of the Annenberg Foundation and widow of ambassador and philanthropist Walter Annenberg. Ms. Annenberg was herself the "chief of protocol" at the State Department under President Reagan.
If the last name sounds familiar, it's because it also graces the name of the Chicago education board where Barack Obama and William Ayers sat in the room six times together."

'In testimony before the Senate committee earlier this year, former New Mexico U.S. Attorney David Iglesias said he formed an election fraud task force in September 2004 to probe claims of widespread voter fraud.
In an interview, Iglesias said he fully expected to uncover instances of voter fraud based on numerous stories that appeared in New Mexico media that said minors received voter registration forms and that "a large number" of voter registration forms turned up during the course of a drug raid.
"Due to the high volume of suspected criminal activity, I believed there to be a strong likelihood of uncovering prosecutable cases," Iglesias said. "I also reviewed the hard copy file from the last voter fraud case my office had prosecuted which dated back to 1992.
“My intention was to file prosecutions in order to send a message that voter fraud or election fraud would not be tolerated in the District of New Mexico."
"My announcement of a dedicated task force notwithstanding, the firebrands were still not placated," Iglesias, wrote. "I got an angry e-mail from Mickey Barnett, an attorney, who, like me, had worked on the Bush-Cheney campaign and who berated me for ‘appointing a task force to investigate voter fraud instead of bringing charges against suspects.’"
In his testimony before the Senate committee, Iglesias said the task force received about 108 complaints of alleged voter fraud through a hotline over the course of about eight weeks.
"Most of the complaints made to the hotline were clearly not prosecutable -- citizens would complain of their yard signs being removed from their property and de minimis matters like that," Iglesias testified before the Senate committee.
"Only one case of the over 100 referrals had potential. ACORN had employed a woman to register voters. The evidence showed she registered voters who did not have the legal right to vote. The law, 42 USC 1973 had the maximum penalty of 5 years imprisonment and a $5,000 fine.
“After personally reviewing the FBI investigative report and speaking to the agent, the prosecutor I had assigned, Mr. [Rumaldo] Armijo, and conferring with [a Justice Department official] I was of the opinion that the case was not provable. I, therefore, did not authorize a prosecution.
“I have subsequently learned that the State of New Mexico did not file any criminal cases as a result of the" election fraud task force.
Iglesias said that Republican officials in his state were far less interested in election reforms and more intent on suppressing votes.'

I personally think America is at a very tough cross roads right now and can easily tip into oblivion. Since America has become nothing good anymore I am voting for Obama because I know he will stick it to America's stability and really rock the boat and tip the boat over. Real Change indeed! I plan to use my dual citizenship rights when he does and will watch America burn from afar.
