It closed at $57-something. And the first thing the media tried to get across to us is, "But, hey! It's lower than the $57-something it closed at YESTERDAY!"
Guess that means we can sleep peacefully tonight.... |

Since last week (Thursday) the gas has gone locally from 2.129 to yesterday 2.259...insane increases. Should be interesting (expensive for some) summer driving season. These are prices from the cheap stations, all the other ones are @ 2.329 |

| I was just thinking, how the price of Crude Oil has continued to hold steady or increase despite the stronger dollar as of late. This would imply that the price is going up against the Euro at a faster pace. I havent seen any Oil Price vs Euro & Dollar graph recently though. |

Sorry, no photo to provide, but I saw $2.97 in San Diego today. A station on Clairemont right off the 5. IIRC Super was $3.27. |

| Several months ago I predicted that regular unleaded would hit 2.50 this summer, and "maybe" 3.00 in California. Looks like I may have been overly optimistic! |

The gasoline prices are rising quickly, and summer driving season hasn't even started yet.
We're averaging $2.51 per gallon where I live, and it's only April. $3+ gasoline is now unavoidable for Nevada and California this summer.

The gas around here went DOWN 4 cents to 2.11. Go figure. _________________ In the long run, men hit only what they aim at. Therefore, though they should fail immediately, they had better aim at something high.-Thoreau

Light, sweet crude has just made a semi-dramatic drop to about 50 dollars.
I'm mostly posting this to counter what I see as a collective selectivity in posting price trends. |

Yeah, we need to mention the low prices too! I think today's prices are record lows for the year so far. As interesting as day to day prices are though they tell us very little about the fundamental supply and demand of the market. Looking at the 200 day average over the last few years is a better indicator of that. _________________ "Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen." The Emperor (Return of the Jedi)

I saw a news article saying gasoline stocks went up!
Can someone confirm?
I thought crude went up and everything else went down? |

| Of course, today's "low" price of $50 would still have been unbelievably high about a year ago. |
